http://www.radiolab.org/story/9-volt-nirvana/this is a cool story of using electric shocks to double learning rates, briefly touches on artificially inducing flow in players

Sam and Max seems to have aged well, but the old Discworld PC game has long pauses between lines that make it almost painful to listen to.
I found old Max's voice kind of awkward after playing the new Telltale games, but listening to the voices now (looking for that clip) it started to sound right.
I'm a bit torn on the subject of using mechanical tools (such as electrical impulses) to enhance human capabilities. In general, I'm the sort to believe that you any time a proven non-surgical, non-medicinal method is available you should choose that on account of worrying about unknown side effects. I like the idea of advancing past current human limits, but I wouldn't personally do this sort of thing. I'm content to use mnemonic devices instead.
I'm not sure how much of that is from watching movies and playing games that show humans who tamper with nature to ultimately suffer.

I think a lot of the old LucasArts games have aged really well. I guess something that was funny in the 90s is still funny now. Except Carrot Top.

reminds me of how sega briefly used "this game is so fast it causes motion sickness in some people" as advertising for sonic adventure 1

gx is one of my five favorite games of all time
the same exact team (amusement vision) that did gx did super monkey ball 2, which is also on the list
sadly they are a team that currently does not exist, though (iirc) members of that team worked on sonic and all stars racing transformed and the yakuza series (which i haven't played)

Still one of the best looking GameCube games. On Dolphin, it looks fantastic.

After my latest 'side-project' (which is now my current project), I've been able to catch myself when I start deviating to a new project. Instead of jumping ship to the new idea: I document the idea as thoroughly as I can for later. However, now I have an ungodly amount of game concepts and half-backed designs in my archives; 90% of which are probably better than my current game. I guess I'll get to them eventually
