Minitiny

I'll update this post with more information as I figure things out.
For now the game is in conceptualizing phase.


Minitiny is a world of technology and fantasy.
A world where you lead your people and either trade with others via a wormhole or send troops to nearby areas to pillage and loot or heal the area after someone else had pillaged and looted it.


Here's a concept of what the game might look like. In the middle is three byte nodules which constantly produce food for your people. Also if you're playing the red these produce your forces too. Although when you do this they will eventually be exhausted and blow up which will leave you with what you see in the upper part of the image. A tear in the ground.


In this game you don't directly control your people. Your job is to oversee everything and suggest what your people need to do next.
You do this by setting up circular areas that depict what buildings should be built there.
You cannot affect the quantity of the buildings directly but you can influence their amounts by assigning either smaller areas or overlapping two or even three areas to produce a mixed variety of buildings.
There are some special or unique buildings that you will place directly. These are guard towers, wormholes, etc.

There are two main factions in Minitiny.
The dark red.
Reds are spiky creatures. They stay alive by devouring their surroundings and infecting byte nodules.
Their main force are viruses.

They are capable of infecting things to produce more of themselves or mutated variations of themselves (explosives etc.)

The light blue.
Blues are round pleasant creatures. They stay alive by co-existing in a symbiosis with their surroundings.
Their main force are healers.

They are capable of boosting byte nodules to produce more food or healing the land to make it alive again.

Buildings
Wormhole
This is the main trade hub of your people. You can connect your wormhole to anybody to trade with them. There won't be a centralized market so you will need to check what others have to trade by yourself.

Hut (Blue only)
Huts are where blues reproduce. As people in Minitiny have no gender you only need any two people to produce one more. Each hut can be used once in a certain time period. This might seem odd since the people should be the ones to decide when a child can be had and not the hut but since tracking each individual would take so much resources I decided to track the huts instead. If you want a 'lore specific' explanation let's say the mating process is so messy that it takes time to clean the hut before someone else can bear a child in there.

Spike (Red only)
Spikes will gradually infect the land beneath them. This causes unknown effects.

Resources
Byte nodule
Byte nodules produce green balls that you can use to manufacture goods from or eat them as is.
They will appear in areas that have a lot of underground green balls. Once a nodule appears it will spew out the green balls and after the pocket underground has depleted it will wither away.

Tear
Tears are sinkholes in the ground that will pull in everything near them. Consider them like black holes. What goes in, never comes back (except for red's miner).
Blues can heal these to patch them up.
Reds can either send a miner here to mine the green balls or send and exploder to blow up whatever lies beyond the hole. Sending an exploder will patch the hole up.

Looks pretty interesting.
Not sure that i fully understand the building mechanic yet, but it seems pretty unique.

Looking forward to seeing it in action at some point.
