This one really stands out from the stuff in this thread. It doesn't obey the rules of graphic design, but that's what makes it so surreal. It's like it's imported straight from someone's subconscious.

I keep thinking about this game. It's a platform game where you control Salad Lad. The object is to get through each level without spilling you contents. Your score is calculated by the amount of salad that you didn't spill & your freshness (speed) Should I continue this madness?

This one really stands out from the stuff in this thread. It doesn't obey the rules of graphic design, but that's what makes it so surreal. It's like it's imported straight from someone's subconscious. I think you are on to something when you mentioned the subconscious. Sometimes while working on stuff like this I get in to this intuitive state where things just kind of flow. This was something like that. And I usually don't care too much about rules, as long as it looks good and gives you the right feeling I just keep at it. Cool thing you like it! WILLIAM, brings TV, back, in style!
This is fucking neat. Thank you very much!

I've not done one of these before but it looked like fun, so here goes. I'm really no artist but I'd at least like to raise to the heady ranks of 'vaguely competent' so any tips are most welcome.

I quite like that! I don't think the light outlines really work, have you tried the sprites without them?

Thanks . I was worried about the small sprites getting lost on the background but I've not tried it. I'll give it a crack and see. Edit - This is a no-outlines version. I think I'd have to re-jig my colours to make it work.

I think if you reduced the contrast in the floor tiles that would help your sprites stand out more and make everything feel more cohesive.

A couple touch-screen puzzle/adventure mock-up's I've made, mostly to explore Would love to hear your thoughts, though it's a bit light on actual gameplay (Also can you embed youtube video's here?)

Looks really nice. I love the level of interactivity. I really dig the logo too. Don't change a thing!

I hope I dont bore you with all these mockups. Also I think I'm going to start a thread in the workshop section of this forum. but here: There are parts of this new look that I really dislike and will probably remove later. But but other parts like the new health bar that I really like! And here is the help screen: Also another game:
