This is a game idea I've been carrying around for over a year now, and it's just occurred to me that it works really really well with this contest. If I don't make it before the end of the year, I'll probably never make it - so here goes.

No more info yet, just noting my intent to participate. I haven't even had a look at the assets just yet! Gentleman

I'll post a mock up soon(ish)

So you've decided to enter before looking at the assets? You are a brave man. And you have me deeply intrigued.

The name is a working title that'll probably change. I originally came up with the idea while at a wedding in Italy.

It's inspired by something I heard out there - apparently for an Italian wedding to be legal, the groom has to certify that he didn't have his bride's former husband assassinated.

Don Terry, I am honored and grateful that you have invited me to your daughter's wedding game... on the day of your daughter's wedding game...

That would be an amazing premise for an adventure game involving the mafia.

As amusing as the idea is, one supposes that people who are low-down and dirty enough to have their bride's former husband assassinated are also low-down and dirty enough to lie about it afterwards! ;-)

Certify to me implies he has to do more than just say he didn't, he has to have some proof.

Then again maybe the lie is the point. The bride and bride's family can be assured that he didn't do it, without it really mattering if he did do it Smiley

Mmmm, it's not looking like I'll have time for this after all Sad

Oh well. I like the idea. I'll come back to it some other time.
