I must say, I read the first post and I... was not buying it. I mean, I feel you, even Stardew and my 52 hours of playtime, and I am still craving for something else. But the concept of the pitch did not click with me.
But the later updates bring it home, and it is really taking form from the original idea. I do hope, someday, be able to play this.
And I rarely say this, in this forum.
Best of lucks!

Thanks! :D Yeah, I should probably revisit the original post... The feel I'm going for is definitely much more like if Minecraft was in the style of Zelda more than what Stardew Valley is. One of the things I love about Minecraft is how easy it is to go from having nothing to really feeling like you are immersed in the world and can shape it as you are willing to work for. Definitely will continue to be some overlap, sure, but yeah, I really want this to have a more open world feel.

Finished the preliminary title screen along with the epic fanfare NES-like music and even figured out how to have an image that can be updated from the web so I can let people know when new updates are available. :D Click the GIF to watch it along with SOUND, or click dat link : https://twitter.com/fuzzgoddess/status/715900211877384192- - - Next up I'll be working on doing the basic screen to screen movement similar to the original Legend of Zelda, but probably less pausing if any at all.

Ooh, this is exciting. I really liked Notch's game jam game Minicraft, and was sad it never got fleshed out. I look forward to seeing this develop, and that centaur is pretty rad!

I've spent all day mainly cleaning up code which I know means I made progress but it doesn't feel like it. Oh, also a tiny bit of polish and simple screen switching going from place to place.
Some of my favorite #gamedev so far in Generia. This is the code for leaves to flutter and fall.
Since #lowrezjam 2016 is going on, decided to try a little 64x64 Generia mockup.
I really like exploration and adventure games, much like minecraft and the old NES legend of zelda. In fact the reason I'm making my game is basically the exact reason you described your reason, so I can really relate to this. Personally I actually like the low-res graphics, but that's probably just me. Anyways, I'm definitely following this.
Thank you! Yeah, I'm honestly really open to the idea of going higher rez or maybe doing more of a mix, but honestly a big part of why I am sticking with lower rez is because I want a lot of content and art assets are just so much easier to bust out in lower rez. Ooh, this is exciting. I really liked Notch's game jam game Minicraft, and was sad it never got fleshed out. I look forward to seeing this develop, and that centaur is pretty rad! Ooh! I had forgotten about Mincraft! :D I'll have to check it out again, and thanks as well for the good vibes! :D It means a lot to hear some positive reinforcement.

Some of my favorite #gamedev so far in Generia. This is the code for leaves to flutter and fall. Looks good. You should do position*fps*deltatime to make it work correctly on all system specs. set position to (self.x+random(-4,4)*60*dt The behaviours are already coded for dt.

Managed to get RPG style text to work and am beginning to mess around with a Tent / save system.
Unfortunately am not in a place to post pictures. Hopefully in a day or so.

Whoa I'm in love with both the concept and execution of this! Your subtle animations are really charming also.
Would there be an option to change the character's appearance at all O: ? I love pink hair but that particular color is actually very hard for me to look at against the green for more than a few seconds.

Created a larger test world. Will probably modify this with dead ends and more "crafted" areas next time around, but for now this serves the purpose of giving the player a place to explore and shape as I start implementing crafting. Thanks! :D I would love to have character customization options in the long run, for sure.
