my backlog right now is any games that aren't flower town or the smash 4 demo. i've been way too busy for something deeper; i should get back into teslagrad (i stopped right after getting the lightning rod) but other than that i've still got the walking dead season 2, gunpoint, and jazzpunk to play through

At least I'll never have "Nexuiz STUPID Mode" in my Steam list. Shrug

I'm not really sure what it is.  I know Nexuiz is an arena shooter but the games just came in the THQ bundle that I really got for games like Space Marine, Dawn of War II, Metro 2033, SupCom, etc.

EDIT:  It's the same game but recompiled with basically all optimizations off.  It's a separate download because while the normal game is only 2GB, STUPID Mode is 7 1/2.

Preordered it and everything, but it released when I was away on vacation and haven't gotten around to playing it

to help push you in some sort of a direction:

hotline miami. 100% hotline miami.

sonic adventure 2 if you have an analog controller (though i've heard snippets that the steam version doesn't accept analog control period? if so, it's not going to be fun/work) and can stomach through the bad (and ill-suited to the strengths of the game) story mode before getting to the fun arcade high score/mission stuff in the stage select afterwards

sonic and all stars racing transformed if you at all like f-zero gx

Apparently Van Helsing is very good.  But yeah, Sanic racing is very fun.

Well, added to my wishlist/backlog is "Team Indie."

Never heard of it? You should look it up. It seems... interesting.

I've been itching to play DROD: The Second Sky, but certain responsibilities are stopping me from it right now. Can't wait to be able to get to it.
