Hello fellow devs
I've began working on a database of all video games, codenamed "Gam Lnk".
http://gamlnk.com/It's purpose is to be the IMDB of video games. Containing all games, dev teams, media outlets, publishers, devs (individuals), and characters.
It's still in early stages, but I'd appreciate feedback and would love suggestions.
Something that might be of great value to indie developers is the Media Outlets section. I had planned to build a list of all media outlets to contact about my game (in sig) when it reached alpha/began a Kickstarter. The last was to be orderable by "reach" (facebook fans, twitter followers, youtube subs, website visitors). While building this list in a spreadsheet I decided to put my php skills to use and make it a database. I'll keep you informed of how that grows into a useful tool.
