I would participate but my game development skills are pretty horrible(pixel-art,music,and programming) - and I would probably need a team to work with. Maybe next time Tongue

Did it last weekend.  It was hard, but awesome.  Might do it again in a few weeks.

What program is the best to use for this kind of competition? I was thinking XNA but there is no way you could make a decent game having to code collisions and everything. But gamemaker collisions suck so...

Kinifi Games did one Smiley Chris, my fiance, rented Dishonored for me (now that's love!) so he and his teammate could create their game in Unity.  Their theme was misinformation and their object(?) was garbage. If you would like to see it you can find it here:

http://www.kongregate.com/games/kinifi/train-cognitin

Let me know what you think! I love the characters and am in the process of making some giveaway stuff if anyone likes the game enough to rep it  Smiley

Me and a few friends of mine did it last weekend. We used xna, coding collisions and all so it's possible (for a team of four anyway). Our theme was depth and our object was submarine. Was hard work, stressful at times but we had a good team, two coders, an artist and a designer. We called it DSV: Deep Sea Vessel (a homage to the fact we watched the entire first season of sea quest during the development lol).

Could you link us to the game?

I think it was an unfortunate decision to make some (most) of the games available, while others have had to wait. I got in the first batch, but other games weren't, and some websites already gave some small selections of games to check out, which makes it unfair for the games that were late to the party.

I know they are making a compensation for the weight of votes for lost time, but still, I think they should have waited until all of them were up. Waiting another day wouldn't have been a big deal, they could have extended the other deadlines (or not), and all of this would have been avoided.

But well, it's done now.
