Wow, that was unexpected! It works amazingly... especially because the bottom of the screen is exactly what I'm used to seeing! XD
Increpare you are a genius, I bow down to you!

Well, you get a lot of points for simulating an entire Windows desktop and having a clever frame, but why did you have a 'video' of 2:10 of nothing? Seems kind of odd and disappointing.

Maybe he didn't realize he could control the car and/or didn't press space to begin.

it doesn't do anything I've run the executable like six times. nothing happens. it appears in the taskbar for the tiniest amount of time, then nothing. I figure it's supposed to show a fake desktop, as far as the images in the bmp folder show. Does it not work if you have a windows theme?

it doesn't do anything That's unfortunate :/ I've run the executable like six times. nothing happens. it appears in the taskbar for the tiniest amount of time, then nothing. I figure it's supposed to show a fake desktop, as far as the images in the bmp folder show. Does it not work if you have a windows theme?
What version of windows are you running? Themes shouldn't make a difference, it's a standard-enough fullscreen allegro game. I doubt the problem would be with the sound libraries I'm using. There's a possibility that if I recompile with a newer version of allegro that everything will suddenly begin to work. Let me know anyway...I can compile a debug version to track down the problem if things keep on not working... I had to close vista media center. Oh? Do you have any theories as to why this might be?

Cool! At first i thought it just jacked my screen resolution The pop ups reminded me of how i never seem to be able to fully get into a game. Xbox "doofus is now online" pop ups, IM pop ups. Virus database popups.. New email pop ups.. cell phone calls and text messages. Its so tough to get immersed into a game. I tried to look around the pop ups. which is ridiculous! reached for my mouse for a second too.

Where can I vote for whatever competition this game is in?
I would easily put this on my top 10 games of '08.

Well, pressing space won't do anything on a YouTube video. ...Obviously I realize that it may not be an actual YouTube video, as in, you know, hosted on YouTube...but basically it's a YouTube video.

So is it worth wasting copious amounts of time to win then?
Is it even possible to win?
I ask because the time limit makes me wonder if I can get to a goal by not crashing the whole game (even when that stupid cat thing happens).

I had to close vista media center. Oh? Do you have any theories as to why this might be? I think media center keeps video memory allocated even when it's minimized.
