Let's be obvious. Assassin games are the best. And I'm proposing one. This will be topdown, non-linear, 2d action. The premise is that you're an assassin, but you're free to kill anyone you so please. But watch out! People will gang up on you if you kill their friends--every character will have a personality, and each will help their friends--which are randomly assigned. On the technical side, I think the way to do that would be to make a random ID for each object. You could get missions to kill anyone--since everyone is, essentially, a character. You'd go up to them, maybe stalk them or even snipe them from a rooftop, though I don't know how that would work on a topdown game... Their friends will notice after a while(or, if they are next to the victim, they will immediately act.) If someone sees you kill a victim, they will act based upon their attributes. A strong person may pick up some stray "weapons", and start chasing after you--or where they think you are! You could even be a target for assassination--paranoia is key. A weak person may run for cover, get help, or call 911. I've brought all my cards to the table. What do you guys think? I have a very bad demo available, I might release it next month. BlogForumUPDATE:ALPHA AVAILABLE Link to alpha 0.1Controls: Move up--W Move down--s Move left--a Move right--d Shoot--Left click Movement is not relative to your mouse. PROTOTYPE BLinkMirrorControls: Same as Prototype A-- Enemy AI is still glitchy Prototype BaLinkControls: Left click to run to mouse cursor; right click to walk. Space+left click to shoot(or slash) 1 to switch to knife 2 to switch to gun D to toggle Debug mode

The character got stuck on the top wall for a few seconds when I moved into it. Also when I killed all the enemies I got an error.
The games sounds really awesome, can't wait for some more updates.

So far, this reminds me a lot of Pro Killer Man. Have you played it?

Yes, I have. Amazing game, that! Please keep in mind, however, that this is merely a prototype. It's a test of, harumph, "random target selection". My other programmer, Coffee, is working on, harumph, "mob AI".

Core game concept is great. I'd like to see finished game design.
I like very much games which are based around interaction with human-like objects (like characters you are planning to make), especially when game provides populated world.
There is a lot of space for experimentation with different ways to interact with characters and for characters to interact between themselves.

Your download has failed. There were no available download servers. Click here to try your download again. Click here to try your download again. I get that every time I try to download something from FileFront. Could you host it somewhere else? Will Host for Food and MediaFire are two great popular options.

Prototype B is better. I like how some enemies start shooting at you if you shoot one of their "friends", and they run away from you if you chase them.

Ok so screen shots aren't exactly this demos forte.
It definately has a lot of potential. I was kinda suprised to see that when i shot someone other people came to his defence (at least thats how it appeared) which is pretty cool.
What are the red guys?

Your targets. once they become red they have a mist surrounding their eyes, which is why they seem oblivious to everything around them

Looks a little bit better now and new controls are fine.
This prototype can serve as a solid base for a top-down prison simulation game.
