Hey people. Last week I made a game called BRICK[bricksmash]SMASH, people seem to like it?

I am thinking about porting it to touchscreen devices with more modes including multiplayer.

So here is a multiplayer version for your eyes and hands.

Controls:
W/S for left player
Up/Down for right player

There are a bunch of gameplay settings you can tweak. Really what I'm looking for here is to get a sense of what settings make it most fun. So if you play please give feedback!

Thanks Smiley

Danced the multi-touch fandango and now have this working on touchscreen things.

Did some multiplayer testing. Made the 2x3 layout the default, dunno if the inner balls move too slowly at that scale though.

One guy didn't like the stun effect when losing your own ball (at 0.5s), but admitted that could just be because it caused him to lose a couple of times. Added a shorter 0.25s setting, haven't tried it yet.

Having a gap at the edges makes it feel quite different.

Added an option to change the number of bricks in each subgame.

Added an option to make subgame paddles larger.

SEE? I'm not the only one coming up with that name. Tongue

Seriously though, I find the concept to be very cool, albeit maybe a bit distressing. As in, my-eyes-are-about-to-pop-out-of-my-skull distressing.

I guess one can get used to it. Multiplayer is definitely more fun, and I'm glad you went that way.

I played the original bricksmash, and I remember vividly just sitting making a high-pitched squealing noise as my brain broke down with blissful confusion, in a good way.

When I found this thread I sat my boyfriend down and he had almost the same reaction as me (but perhaps, I am ashamed to admit, manlier).

Can't wait to have it on my pocket touch-game-thingy, whatever that turns out to be, I'd love to meet people and show it to them, and break their brains as well.

Keep up the good work!  Big Laff
