Not anyone can submit their character. It's just about the famous indie characters.

Mr. Moo may have secretly created a famous indie character.
Even if you haven't, my dairily-inclined friend, you can still submit a well-known character for consideration.

Is Buddy the dog? If so, him and Johnny Five Aces are both excellent characters .

It'd probably be best to start a topic for each stage/environment.
Johnny Five Aces should definitely be in it. Well, IMO.

I'll create a topic on stages when we get to that point. Relax.
And I'd wait at least until The Underside came out before worrying about adding characters from it.

No idea.
But I didn't want to upset Mr. Moo.
He's only thirteen. Being one year older, it wouldn't be fair if I would be mean to him.

What is a stage?
A miserable little pile of tiles!

Guys. Gentlemen. I think it would probably be an okay thing for us to start designing stages while, back at the ranch, character work continues.
Actually, it could cause some organisational difficulties. I still think that we can start at least discussing this stuff.
First of all, try not to refer to Mr. Moo as if he isn't here in the thread, because it comes off as being pretty antagonistic and patronising. I guess I did it just there. Sorry, Mr. Moo. Anyway, we can discuss things! NERD LOVE, people.
Secondly, I don't think we should do the stages in tiles. It would look much nicer if we just had big chunks of beautiful artwork floating about.

Indeed. Tiles are fine for sidescrollers, but for a game where you can seen all the environments in five minutes, you want them to have lasting appeal. Besides, they'll only be around one screen in size, so it won't be that hard.
