Hi guys,

We're working on a game by the name of Salvaged.

Salvaged puts players in the desperate hands of an RISC (Remote Interstellar Salvage Crew) commander as they're tasked with issuing orders to a crack squad of salvagers aboard starship husks chock-full of vicious spacebeasts.

We've created the game for use with two devices simultaneously as we wanted to emulate the horror and panic your character would feel in this kind of situation; stuck away from their crew in another location, unable to help besides sending orders and watching headcam feeds.

The 3D ships you'll find in Salvaged are procedurally generated, crew stats are partially randomised and permadeath for squad members will be a constantly looming threat. We're taking cues from X-COM, Aliens (the movie), the original Space Hulk and FTL to name but a few, but we're very much putting our own spin on things and combining them to make something we think is quite unique.

Elements outside the main levels will include squad management, selling/buying items, upgrading your ship and worrying about running out of money (not being able to afford replacement squad members may be the end of you).

We're currently raising funds for Salvaged over at Kickstarter, where we've also (obviously) got a load more information on the game and how we're approaching it.

's some official but raw footage from us, and here is a

from the fantastic Unstable Voltage that does a very good job of explaining both current and upcoming features.

Here's a little look round our virtual control room with the Oculus Rift:
