'================ORIGINAL POST================
This is a remake of a quickie I made in BlitzPlus back in the day. I wasn't a good enough programmer then to make the game I actually wanted, so instead I settled for a basic combat demo.

The player character is an imp-thing(fig A.) who jumps around throwing exploding skulls(fig B.) at other imp-things, and occasionally turns into an invincible reaper.

The remake is done in BlitzMax, and is currently being expanded according to my original vision. Unfortunately Tongue the reaper wasn't part of that vision so that's been cut.

What I Did Today:
 Hand Point Right Incorporated a pared-down version of a Camera system I had left over from another unfinished project.
 Hand Point Right Defined the most basic level structure possible.
 Hand Point Right Drastically reduced EXE size.
 Hand Point Right Lots of other code stuff.

What I'm Doing Next:
 Hand Point Right Browsing for tutorials on delta timing (I am pretty sure I get it but I want to make sure I do it right)
 Hand Point Right Completing the Camera system.
 Hand Point Right Deciding on how I want the explosions to damage/propel players.

Any criticisms or suggestions for the direction this game should take are very welcome! The MOST welcome.

What I Did Today:
 Hand Point Right Nothing I had on yesterday's todo list Apoplectic
 Hand Point Right Made it so that players' names are drawn above them.
 Hand Point Right Added death and corpses Evil so now there's actually something to do.
 Hand Point Right Reorganized faction code so that is easier to understand and expand.

What I'm doing next:
 Hand Point Right Everything on yesterday's list... hopefully Beg
 Hand Point Right Creating some sort of secondary objective.
 Hand Point Right Adding a stamina system to restrict the jumping.
 Hand Point Right Finding my original design document in this big pile of papers Tired

What I Did Today:
 Hand Point Right Slept for a long time Yawn
 Hand Point Right Added castles that can take damage, but don't do much else (placeholder graphics appropriated from Mario)
 Hand Point Right Added the ability to switch teams
I couldn't find my design document, but thinking about it more I'm pretty sure the end result would've been a bad combination of TF2 and Worms... it's okay though because I've had a lot of new ideas while working on this that should make up for it.

What I'm Doing Next:
 Hand Point Right Everything on previous todo lists...  Facepalm
 Hand Point Right Trying out some ideas for character classes. Once I've got this figured out I will be trying find an artist to replace my bad graphics.
 Hand Point Right Respawning!
 Hand Point Right Trying to think of a better/more descriptive name Shrug
 Hand Point Right Mixing the secret sauce.

BIG UPDATE
What I Did Today:
 Hand Point Right Made corpses persistent.
Un-intertwined the AI() code from the main code so that it is easier to modify/expand.
 Hand Point Right Added a stamina system!
 Hand Point Right Enabled Respawning!
 Hand Point Right Added character classes! (see above for a description of them)

What's I'm doing next:
 Hand Point Right Playing around with AI.
 Hand Point Right Another big update but it's a secret

What I Did Today:
 Hand Point Right Bones has decided to make art for this game, but in our brainstorming session the idea diverged so much that I have decided to retire this log, and will be updating here instead.
