Just for fun. If all else fails, just take a noun and add -core to the end of it. I'll start.
Monoclecore - A form of hardcore punk characterized by a Victorian sound and overall gentlemanly aesthetic.

Midigrind - noisy grindcore made entirely with General MIDI Lolicore - speedcore/breakcore and harsh noise themed around otaku culture edit: Whoops, they exist already. And they're awesome. Then... Dronespeed - drone metal (with Sun O)))'s dark ambient stylings), but with speedcore drums. Gamma metal - over-the-top power metal mixed with really distorted-sounding synths, themed around a cheesy post-apocalyptic setting; think "nuclear war has destroyed civilization and glowing radioactive mutants and Kenshiro-like warriors wander the wasteland!" edit again: Just wanted to add that this is an awesome idea for a thread, and I hope it takes off.

Fusing existing genres is good:
Country & Bass Death Reggae Electrungle Pop Hop Shed (a cross between House and Garage) Nu-Folk Prog Opera Baroque'n'Roll
Bonus nicked Bill Bailey joke: a cross between techno and disco, called Tesco. Possibly only funny to people familiar with the UK supermarket chain of the same name.

That's a pretty righteous pun. Gamma metal - over-the-top power metal mixed with really distorted-sounding synths, themed around a cheesy post-apocalyptic setting; think "nuclear war has destroyed civilization and glowing radioactive mutants and Kenshiro-like warriors wander the wasteland!"
That'd be fucking awesome. Keep the genres coming, gentlemen.

Made me laugh. While we're adding "core" to the end of things, why not Marinecore - environmentalist extreme punk

"-core" is the easy way of doing things. Take a random word. How about Dumbledore's favorite words from Harry Potter? I would now like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!
Nitwitcore - Russian folk music, with lyrics sung from the point of view of the village idiot. Blubbercore - Like marinecore, but all about saving whales and mixed with traditional Alaskan folk music. Oddmentcore - Avant-garde sampled music based around sampling very antiquated songs. For some reason, hardcore vocals. Tweakcore - Really jittery, repetitive hardcore punk themed around drug use. (Think dancey, repetitive techno+hardcore with drug themes) Brother Android: I unironically love it.

Speaking of which... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wizard_rock("also known as dumblecore" lol) There's a lot of decent bands, actually. I recommend "Insufferable Know-It-All Hermione Granger" and "Ginny Gets Around" by Gred & Forge. The midicore was awesome How about a genre that uses scream sound fx from old games mixed together for song? I dunno. Edit: Blubbercore should be hardcore with a crying singer

This is fantastic. Nice job. How about a genre that uses scream sound fx from old games mixed together for song? I dunno.
I just tried to do it now, but I couldn't come up with any screams besides Doom's. Any suggestions?

How about some arcade-era fighting games? I bet Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 has some nice ones. Or maybe enemy shrieks from like Super Metroid or something. Hm... I guess it was harder than I assumed to find good screams!

Porncore - glitchy speedcore/breakcore composed entirely of samples from porn. (If you don't know the story behind the album "Nymphomatriarch", look it up.)
I've kind of been wanting to do this one for a while now, but haven't really gotten around to it.
