You'd have to invent a "rave" genre first though.
What do you mean? There's just a set of genres that can be considered rave music; I assume Player 3 means stuff like trance and techno.

How about this: applecore. Songs based entirely around the apple. Most secretly promote the view that the apple is the center of the universe. It sounds slightly like Johnny Appleseed-style folk music combined with angelic choir death metal.

Posting some possible matches for some of the various genres mentioned so far: Grasshop - rap not hip hop but probably close enough... This is actually pretty bad ass... Genres I'd like to see: Gangstacore - It's like Gangsta Rap, except instead of rapping you scream. Deathsurf Melodic Deathsurf

Hobocore. Okay I didn't make that one up, but it'd still be pretty awesome style of music. :D There is Johnny Hobo & the Freight Trains, a solo acoustic-punk act. Tweakcore - Really jittery, repetitive hardcore punk themed around drug use. (Think dancey, repetitive techno+hardcore with drug themes) I made a track called "Crackhead Punk" with two sloppy guitars and a gameboy doing bass. Also, distorted harmonica solo. Blubbercore - Like marinecore, but all about saving whales and mixed with traditional Alaskan folk music

MDM, or "Moronic Dance Music." Since IDM seems to suggest such a thing should exist.

MDM
All dance music
It admits itself that it's not made for thinking about. (Not that it's bad or anything.)

Also, "it" can't really admit anything, being a broad genre of music... I'm just saying, I think some dance musicians would chafe at the suggestion that their music is not for thinking about.
Words with heavily negative connotations being used in the place of words with neutral connotations is not an issue of semantics.

Dude, I don't want to start a genre argument, okay?

I used to always use "powercore" in this conversation - power metal with breakdowns and screams - but Firewind actually have enough breakdowns that it sort of ruined the joke for me...

Dude, I don't want to start a genre argument, okay? Well, the best way to avoid arguments is to not make inflammatory generalizations. :-/

I'm not huge into the different electronic genres, but I'd love to hear a Midget (minimal+fidget) track.

Twitch - glitch music with a sort of uncanny/horror aesthetic like the nurses from Silent Hill.
