I, for one, am rather excited for the release of the second in the Rock Band franchise. It's coming out Sunday! Harmonix elitism and snootery aside, it looks like it's going to be really, really fun. Opinions? Questions? Comments? Concerns? Flame wars between GH fans and RB fans?

I think I'm gonna like both the games as long as they both support my SG Controller. GH has Hendrix and RB has Pearl Jam.

Now to wait till the PS2 versions come out.

Rockband 1 is being released here in october I think, Guitar Hero 4 in November.

There is no chance in hell I'd give money to a rockband game in Australia.

Damn, that sucks Australia sucks. A few years ago my opinion of Australia was something like "they have that one opera house, right?" but now it's all "Oh, those are those guys who hate video games, right?"

At least one of my friends is getting it, but I'm a pasty suburban kid so I'll be begging my parents for it too. They've told me that I just need to get straight A's this quarter and they'll buy it for me.


Of course, that means I'll be getting it around November. Grrr.

i'm so indie, i just have a chunk of plywood that i drew on to make a fake keyboard.  and then i dream about playing FoF.

I'm so indie, I actually play the songs on my cheap, acoustic guitar that I tied to my screenshot of FoF made on a piece of paper with crayons and intentionally make weird noises on the guitar to feel like I missed some notes.

I'm so indie, I have a 3DO console. It's the second most spectacular failure of console history, following close on the heels of the Nintendo Virtual Boy.

It had some sweet games though, like Soccer Kid. Man, that was sweet. An alien stole the world cup trophy that belonged to you, and you have to travel across the world finding the broken pieces (did I mention that the alien splits the trophy into 10 pieces?), while hitting your enemies with a soccer ball. Ah, nostalgia.
