Just saw that superbrothers released a new short film called "Dot Matrix Revolution". It starts out kinda slow and for a minute or so I was in doubt whether it'd be any good or not. Then the dancing began Kiss

People who like weird pixels should definitely give it a look:

(Not from the movie)

The guy who made the movie also has other works on his site:

That's one strange video; though of course I'd expect no less from something you've recommended Cactus  Gentleman

Oh, and Space Fuck! was great; we talked about it a bit in the Games and Art Pt. 2 thread, if you're interested.

Is "superbrothers" one guy? In any case I've seen the first one (Children of the Clone) before and thought it was just awesome, the art style is very unique, as is the concept. It puts pixels into an art context totally separate from games (and their usual aesthetic), which doesn't happen that often AFAIK and makes it very interesting.

The new one doesn't disappoint either, though I thought the first one was still a bit better, but with heaps of blinking computer hardware in lo-res pixel style you really cannot go wrong Kiss

that was awesome.
the art is soooo nice.
all through the video i was wondering if they got their name from the guitar vader song from jet set radio.
that little soundbite at the end tells me they did.

That was fantastic. And then I watched 'The Children of the Clone'. The new one cannot compare.

Yeah, DMR was pretty cool, but CotC is downright awesome. I really hope to see more of this.

Both videos were amazing. I just loved them. It's amazing how much you can express with so few pixels. I would recommend that you visit the superbrothers site and look at the artwork and at the rest of the times that superbrothers does.
