Few years ago I was doing some pixel work for mobile games. I made these two mockups as portfolio pieces... 128x128 pixels was the screen size of those old phones like nokia s40 series.

How come no-one commented on this? It's entirely awesome! We need more games with 3D graphics made from chunky pixels!

I don't think its actually 3D. It's pixel art drawn in a "3D"-ish style.  Looks great regardless (maybe one day Ivan will actually finish something Wink).

I havent even noticed the chocolate cube until you said so. I thought the character was the... yellow thing.

Maybe an outline, or parts of the scenario with different colors like red or yellow? Because right now he's BROWN in a BROWN scenario

Make him way darker. You can get a lot of contrast between different kinds of chocolate. Some of the ones near 100% almost become black.

Agree, this is a very cool mock up, pixels, low rez, but at the same time very modern and clean looking. Cool concept style for a game.

I just adore this style , its so simplistic and yet looks so modern (reminds me very much of  the style in ZooKeeper for the DS  Smiley
I'll have to try this style out sometime  Grin

I'm not very good at making sounds for the SMS though , so it'll be some minor beeps and blips  Smiley
the engine is allready writen , but there's some minor hardware problems , works fine in emulator though.

Kicking around an idea for a low rez mashup of several themes into a puzzle platformer. A team of several characters, an axe throwing warrior, energy megaman/metriod guy, sneaky double jump ninja, and a wizard type guy. Each with their own ability you need to solve puzzles. We see
