Hey guys, just want to say I love the way this is looking. You have a great atmosphere going for you, I'm enjoying how idyllic and fairytale-like it is, but with a lot of mystery and adventure lurking behind everything. Posting to follow, keep up the good work!

Development update #9: wurthers: Thanks! What you described is exactly how we want the world to feel like. Atmosphere so thick that you can cut it with a knife Here's the item GIFS I promised couple of days ago. Merchant throwing away his belongings: Ghoul drops it's precious brains:

wurthers: Thanks! What you described is exactly how we want the world to feel like. Atmosphere so thick that you can cut it with a knife It's working really well! I think the short draw distance is working really well in favor of that, as opposed to games like minecraft, where the feeling is more expansive and serene... this is intimate and a little scary!

Speaking of scary here's a clip of proto chicken trying to murder it's kin: Prototype crow gameplay: Which one would you like to see implemented in final form into the game? Once a winner is decided we'll stream the creation of the final asset on twitch.

I think I'm going to vote chicken. Having issues coming up with a specific reason so I'm just going to say that I'm voting for it.

I like the chicken more, it's more recognizable and iconic.
Also I really love the graphics in this game, the sophisticated lighting combined with the stylized models looks really cool.

johnki, Triturus: Chicken is getting vast majority of votes on Facebook as well so I think it wins this round easily ( facebook.com/minigorefanpage) Development update #11: We're now moving on to generating a much bigger world and we're encountering some performance problems with Bullet physics. The slowdown happens every time the game creates a new region with lots of objects, after they're generated it runs fine again though. In any case we'll probably start investigating how hard would it be to implement PhysX and check out what kind of speed it offers. Funny test from earlier today, chicken armed with the dragon's fire attack:

I had assumed this was somehow a bunch of pre-rendered vaporware until you put up these gameplay gifs. Please take that as a compliment.

This is the coolest art style I've seen in a long time. Almost looks like claymation. Pure awesome.

I think the chicken's comb could use a different material, it seems like it's a bit too specular and white
