It looks like it'll be a story-based game mixed with supernatural elements. Probably gonna have dem feels. I'm sure many already know, but I'll share for those who don't. It starts with William Blake's poem, 'Auguries of Innocence', which is interpreted as being a warning to mankind about the consequences for society when nature is mistreated. To further support this, you'll notice the oil, dead animals, etc. It might be set in a  post-apocalyptic world. A little bit into the future judging by those light-up handcuffs. As for the floating humanoids, I'm guessing those are (the most wildest idea) aliens, who have come to earth for some unknown reason. Whether it be good or bad, I don't know. Notice Norman's stomach too. An oil spill effects the ocean and the whole ecosystem. I guessing that this time humans really messed up and really did some serious damage to the whole planet. That's just my opinion. Either way, I'm stoked for this game.
comment on Kotaku's video of the trailer

Mind blown from this symbolism: Norman is Hideo,  who broke free of the handcuffs of Konami but lost his baby, Silent Hills. Looking up into the sky to see five men, Konami, vanishing away...Norman looking above as the sky is the limit.

thumbnail: me wearing headphones screaming at something overlaid onto a frame of norman reedus' ass.

video content: i discuss my "theories" about the symbolism of a japanese man paying thousands of dollars for photorealistic 3d assets ostensibly for a game but really because he wants to see a celebrity's dick

Hideo Kojima has told Digital Spy his new game Death Stranding will be an action game unlike anything you've anything you've ever played before

Quote
"There's a Japanese author I am a huge fan of called Kobo Abe. He has a short novel called 'Rope' in which he makes a definition, a statement: the first tool mankind made was a stick. It was made toto keep away bad things. It's a weapon.

"The next tool created by mankind was rope. The rope is not to keep away bad things. On the contrary, it's a tool used to keep good things close to you, to tie good things close to you. Sticks and ropes are some of the tools most used by mankind even these days.

"In most games you see that are online multiplayer or co-op - or even single player - the communication is through sticks. In this game you will be able to use what will be the equivalent of sticks. But I also want people to use what will be the equivalent of ropes."

I like Kojima for old time`s sake but by puffing it all up ad infinitum (a "new genre" yeahokay) he`s only setting himself up for the inevitable fall.

I wonder how is Kojima going to work with much smaller budgets. MGSV budget was $80M+. I dunno if Sony is going to be so generous.
