We've got a trailer now! I'm curious to know what an honest group of indie gamers thinks.

Watching  your videos, I notice a lot of improvement. I see that the modeling and texturing have gotten better, but the cockpit could use some of that attention, since we're always looking at.
The specular on the asteroid that you fly through in the most recent video is much to high, looks strangely wet.
The HUD is pretty Star-Foxy, pretty cool. All around the concept sounds fun. Keep truckin'.

Thank you for the kind words Runaway.

Yea the cockpit needing love is what I suspected, thanks for confirming!
It can be hard to judge feedback from some players as a lot aren't familiar with indie games, so I appreciate hearing from this place.

Idea of exploring a derelict ship with just a flashlight, thoughts?

The corridors are uninspiring and the textures need serious work. Other than that I am totally behind the concept of this game. I wish more games let players share the vehicles.
I will be keeping my eye on this project. Smiley

I don't know what people expect from a 3D indie game, but I guess we'll have to change our art.

Hey! Just wanted to reiterate what others have said about this concept being particularly awesome. Really looking forward to seeing where this goes. Also I've started noticing how people 'round here seem to accept constructive criticism very well (being new myself) - as well as take it seriously. Thanks for being another example of that!

The darker atmosphere hides things better. The original AVP used this to great effect because while the game oozed atmosphere it hid the ugly textures very well thanks to clever lighting. Please don't take my criticisms as harsh because I really like what you're trying to do. What resolution are your textures? It looks like some have a bump map but the detail still looks very low. Also the corridor is a great start but it appears to have a lot of copy/paste to it. Years ago I made a corridor in a thing called Zdoom which looked exactly like that. Just add some more pieces so its not as repetitive.

We've got a new news article out showing off new explosions and new cockpit.

What do you think of it?
