It was all amazingness! I learned so much doing the CNE Gaming Garage convention and met so many cool, creative, and interesting people - and, of course had lots of people check out my games. Got some really nice feedback all around!  :)

Yay! I finally finished the MENU (POSTER) ART for A Near Dawn!

More importantly, we want to release the Prologue (free-to-play opening to the first chapter) to our game as soon as we can!
SO.... ANNOUNCEMENT: We'd like to have the Prologue out by 11:00 AM MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25TH!
And we hope to gear up a KickStarter Campaign shortly thereafter.

Please look forward to it and wish us luck!  :)

Seems spooky enough for the Halloween spirit I'm already letting spiral out of control this year.  Hand Fork Left

Just one of the 10, 000 things I have to figure out for this project.

This looks rad, as does all your art. It's a very unique style that I can't quite explain, but it really works for this game

Maybe this is a dumb question, but are you folks from Seattle? I am, and it's lovely to see a game representing it. I have a soft spot in my heart for any game that is set in my city (Eidolon, Infamous: Second Son, etc.)

Thanks a lot Josh!  :)
I am actually... not from Seattle. I'm from Toronto, Canada. :P
I did however live in Seattle for a month and a half ten years ago. So, I spent more time there than any other US city, but also I wanted to set it there, because it feels more fresh to me. The 'obvious' cities to set your story in, like New York, L.A. - it's very played out, and there are very specific expectations and stereotypes associated with them. Not that there aren't stereotypes about Seattle - rain much? (you might notice it's a nice, sunny day in my game!)

We've been steaming on ahead with the project, and we now have a snazzy Prefundia page to introduce our campaign on KickStarter:

Please have a look and let us know if we missed anything or if there is anything else you might be interested in!

Also, look - more artwork from our game!  Smiley

I counted and there are 495 lines of dialogue in the Prologue, clocking in at just short of 40 minutes of recorded audio! So, that should make for a nice playing time for the demo (whether you explore the different options or not).  :)

So, this is a bit of a soft-release of the FULL PROLOGUE for A NEAR DAWN!
We'll update with more details and information - and we really hope that the Linux version actually works, because it has yet to be properly tested. But please check it out and let us know what you think!  Smiley

AND, keep in mind that we hope to launch a KickStarter campaign to help fund the rest of the project. We really couldn't keep going with it the way we have been if we didn't get some support, so anything you could do to help share or support the project would be super appreciated. Thank you!

We just got a Thunderclap thing. It's going to be an uphill climb trying to put this whole campaign business together, but if you have a chance, please support us on Thunderclap (it allows you to pledge one future tweet/post in support of our project). We're going to need all the help we can get!  Smiley

So this is magical and amazing - my illustration of the city of Seattle is up at the top of the Seattle subreddit.  :)

It's been tough getting support for our Thunderclap thingamajig. If you could lend a voice, we would really appreciate it.  :)
