Title: Re: [AGBIC] FAMILY GENOM Post by: Zaratustra on July 13, 2010, 09:43:57 PM Slowly but surely it advances. Now with mostly finalized main interface.
http://www.swfcabin.com/open/1279083764 encode > encode genom to pod to load your pods, then go to pods screen, then press next week to watch them grow. Title: Re: [AGBIC] FAMILY GENOM Post by: Zaratustra on July 18, 2010, 10:55:59 PM http://www.swfcabin.com/open/1279520230
Nearly all screens working now, plus a Dog genome. Title: Re: [AGBIC] FAMILY GENOM Post by: Melly on July 18, 2010, 11:56:22 PM Man, we're gonna need a tutorial for this one.
Title: Re: [AGBIC] FAMILY GENOM Post by: Zaratustra on August 07, 2010, 08:25:49 PM It's not FULLY finished but it's (remotely) playable. I'll probably develop some more later (if anyone wants to dev this talk to me) but meanwhile it's here

Title: Re: [AGBIC] FAMILY GENOM [FINISHED] Post by: Zaratustra on August 11, 2010, 06:33:04 AM ok quick primer
- go to Genoms and click the down arrow beside a name to load a genom - go to Encode and click encode genom to pod to place that genom in a pod. you can do this more than once - press Next Week to make your creatures grow a step - go to Pods to see how your genoms are doing - go to Field to see enemies/friends in the field - Breed and Splice let you load two genoms and produce a new one in two different ways Title: Re: [AGBIC] FAMILY GENOM [FINISHED] Post by: deathtotheweird on August 11, 2010, 03:41:43 PM I did do that and nothing seemed to be happening. enemies would come in but none of my genomes would grow.
interface is odd and an in-game tutorial describing things would have been better, really difficult to get into as it is Title: Re: [AGBIC] FAMILY GENOM [FINISHED] Post by: Jonathan Whiting on August 13, 2010, 04:46:34 AM Confusing as hell at the moment, looks like there's a lot going on underneath the surface, but I can't make head nor tail of it.
Title: Re: [AGBIC] FAMILY GENOM [FINISHED] Post by: Oddball on August 17, 2010, 03:13:08 PM It's very confusing at the moment, which is a shame as it looks like you've put a lot of work into it.
Title: Re: [AGBIC] FAMILY GENOM [FINISHED] Post by: belbeeno on August 18, 2010, 12:56:39 PM I'm not sure if these are bugs or not, but all my Genoms and weeks are reset whenever I go to the field. Also, at some point (maybe due to either mutating or breeding) waiting for weeks does nothing to my pods.
Title: Re: [AGBIC] FAMILY GENOM [FINISHED] Post by: Zaratustra on August 18, 2010, 02:11:02 PM I'll take a look I suppose.
