Title: [AGBIC] God Is In The Noise
Post by: QOG on June 29, 2010, 10:41:24 AM
Description:
You are a glitch of some sort, inside of a computer. As you make your way through the game, you cause more damage to the computer, eventually reducing it to a nearly incomprehensible mess.

Very early in development (about 15 minutes):

Also, I'm thinking I should probably change the name. Any thoughts?

Oh boy! I have high hopes for this one. I love glitch art. My laptop puked out this one time and my response was happiness instead of terror:

b-b-blaarrrrrggghghghhhgh (http://www.tedmartens.com/wp-content/img/glitchArt001.png)

Goodluck to ya :)

Changed name to System Error, I'll probably change it again,

I should probably put some gameplay in here...

Thank you. Just to let people know, I'll be busy tomorrow... so this is going to be late, if finished at all.  :(

The due date is July 31st, you have NOTHING to be worried about man.

Also, this looks mighty fine.

... Now I feel stupid. I looked at it and was all like "June 31st! I can't finish it by then!"

Ha! Not a half bad idea.

Anyway, I hope you manage to complete this game. Could be very interesting.

The idea is to change the colors of the month names in the compo post. (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=13392.0)

Hopefully this proves successful.

I had a concept(and a small bullshit prototype) for a Metroidvania-ish platformer with this exact theme some months ago, parts of which ended up in my current "big" project, 444. This already looks  better than anything I'd have come up with though. Graphics remind me of Cactus's more "lo-fi" games.

Also, I like the current title.

Speaking of which, who's got a line with Cactus? We need him in this compo.

Aw, name already decided, hu? God is in the Noise sounds pretty awesome, so I won't complain; it's just that when I saw this I instantly thought of an error message I got after a CTD in Painkiller Black Edition: "ERROR: Monster Exists !"
God is in the Noise is probably better, though; just had to mention it:P

Everything always takes longer than you first think it will.

Always.

Anyway, I'm loving the art so far.
