Can't wait for more details. :)

Welcome. My first post was to join the ol' VGNG competition, and that ended up being my first real finished game. Hope you get something we can play, certainly has the potential to be entertaining. -PENCERKOFF Title: Re: Dawn of the Pixel - (Topdown arcade) Post by: RadiationBLUR on February 21, 2011, 02:53:58 AM Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Kind of entertaining. I love the idea of building a defensive swarm, but in the end I felt like I wanted something more to it all. My first thought would be to have few different kinds of swarm buddies that have different advantages, so you'd have to play the field a little bit in order to win more often. I don't know how far you want to go with this, but that and maybe something more than your average seeking enemy might add some fun to it. Basic things, on the other hand, you can (hopefully) adjust real quick are: Switch the starting locations of player 1 and 2 so they start on the side corresponding to where they are on the keyboard. Make the movement more responsive. If an enemy can turn on a dime, I want to at least turn on a quarter. Hope that helps some. Still have a few days, so I hope you aren't sick of working on it. -PENCERKOFF Title: Re: Dawn of the Pixel [FINISHED] Post by: tzachs on February 28, 2011, 01:16:22 PM Played all of the 2-player modes.
This could turn into something fun, but right now, since controlling the ship is not responsive enough (like the mighty Pencerkoff has already mentioned), and since you die after one hit (I think?), it all ends up pretty fast. I didn't even get to the point of understanding the difference between all the modes, all of the games ended in less than a minute... |
