Title: procedural generation competition entry: enelin 10 [finished]
Post by: rnx on June 01, 2008, 01:33:27 PM
Hi,

kinda new here too.

felt like getting something quick done so i wrote a little entry for this competition.

it's called enelin10 and can be found at
http://proj.phk.at/el/10/

it's an abstract topdown shooter.
3d wireframe graphics and 2d gameplay.

the enemies are procedurally generated from various segments that define their behaviour.
the map layout, tasks and some decoration parts are generated as well.

current version is 0.7
updated v0.7 contains tips, ammo feedback and is a bit easier

Hope you like it.

Hey hey

I didn't really understand the criteria for shooting. At first I thought I had a very long reload delay, like 10 seconds or something. Then I realized that if I clicked a lot, I would fire a couple of more bullets, but it was still quite random (sometimes I could click a dozen times without shooting a single bullet). Also, some sound would've been nice.

Other than that, congratz on finishing the game :)

Yeah I guess the ammo system might be a bit confusing.
I'll try to add some more feedback for it.
Thanks for the feedback.
