Title: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: CEDE on January 15, 2012, 06:10:49 PM This weekend I started doodling on Post-It notes while skimming the Devlogs. It was a fun form of procrastination and its sort of become a "thing" I will do on and off when I see a screenshot I like.
The first one I did was for Ninto's game Piq: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=23758.0 (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=23758.0) (http://www.jakobhaglof.com/items/piqyeah.jpg) Im starting this thread so they can be in one place, and also for people who have requests they can ask here too. NOTE TO DEVS: I can send the real post it to you via snail mail if you want to PM me your address. Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: eigenbom on January 15, 2012, 06:18:33 PM Following, <3 your style!
Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: Inanimate on January 15, 2012, 06:53:22 PM I'm not sure if this should be here, or in art. I kinda like it here, that way more devlogs get more notice. <:
Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: iffi on January 15, 2012, 07:14:31 PM Awesome illustration, I think I'll have a look at Piq now. ;)
You might want to fix your link to Piq, though (it's currently got quotes in it). Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: CEDE on January 15, 2012, 09:08:53 PM I'm not sure if this should be here, or in art. I kinda like it here, that way more devlogs get more notice. <: Yeah, thats what I was thinking too. Because it would be nice if more of these projects got extra attention and maybe it can be my way to help that. I can be a cheerleader for my fellow devs one post it at a time. Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: CEDE on January 15, 2012, 09:33:56 PM Here are the other ones:
Eigenbom's Moonman (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=21997.0) A cool looking game about a man from the moon hanging out in some vibrant abstract pixel lands. You may also get to wield an axe and observe strange creatures. (http://www.jakobhaglof.com/items/moonman.jpg) Gabriel Verdon's The Archer (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=18578.0) An archer in a mysterious land who uses his bow and arrow to directly interact with the world. (http://www.jakobhaglof.com/items/microgue.jpg) laxwolf's Fatty! (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=23696.0) Perhaps an abstract take on meat being great and vegetarianism being for babies? The little food icons snagged my attention. (http://www.jakobhaglof.com/items/fatty.jpg) namragog's Escalated Strange (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=21232.0) Something about this dark, bizarrely charming game brought me back to my days of reading Jonny the Homicidal Maniac comics. (http://www.jakobhaglof.com/items/strange.jpg) Zack Bell's Puppet Children (Working Title) (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=23392.0) Platformer with Miyazaki influence in its pixel design? Yes, I will keep an eye on this one. (http://www.jakobhaglof.com/items/puppet.jpg) Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: eigenbom on January 15, 2012, 10:29:36 PM This would make an awesome tigsource front page post .. :eyebrows::eyebrows::eyebrows:
Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: Ashkin on January 15, 2012, 10:49:34 PM Awesome!
Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: CEDE on January 15, 2012, 10:49:49 PM This would make an awesome tigsource front page post .. :eyebrows::eyebrows::eyebrows: That would be pretty fun! But I should probably make a few more. I will try to do at least one a day as long as I have enough ideas / suggestions / requests for them. Each one only takes about 2 - 5 minutes to sketch out. Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: mankoon on January 15, 2012, 10:57:43 PM These are so cute and thoughtful. I especially love that it's art on tiny Post-it notes. :handshakeL: u :handshakeR:
Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: C.D Buckmaster on January 16, 2012, 01:22:12 AM This reminds me of an idea for a game I had where the graphics were done through stop-motion post-it doodles on a wall.
Keep up the good work! Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: Theophilus on January 16, 2012, 12:28:11 PM Man, this makes me want to start a cool project just to get a post it.

Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: cynicalsandel on January 18, 2012, 01:36:45 PM I couldn't find motivation to make a game for the past year, but this thread makes me want to start a game.
Thank you. edit: To clarify, it's not just the existence of this thread that makes me want to make a game, but the hope that you would draw one of my future game. Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: Ashkin on January 18, 2012, 02:02:47 PM This is also motivating me to revive my project, in the tiny hope that it could be drawn.

If my drawing a simple post-it can help motivate you guys then its the least I can do. Title: Re: Devlog POST-ITs Post by: CEDE on January 19, 2012, 02:53:18 PM Ashkin's Mining Game (http://)
