Title: (On Hold) Looking for iPhone programmer for simple Top-Down Turn-Based Shooter Post by: matwek on March 09, 2012, 01:10:57 AM Some of you may have seen my other post
http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=24846.0 But I’m looking to start more than one project at once, this game being a top down turn based shooter. Players move using a drag and aim system similar to angry birds, except rather than distance being relative to gravity it’s due to friction as the player slides and bounces around the screen like an air hockey puck. Once in position shoots are fired in the same way, except wind strength/direction allows for curved shots. (http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j260/matwek/Concept%20Art/MockUp2-2.png) (http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j260/matwek/Concept%20Art/ForestTiles.png) Initially I would like to keep things simple but if all goes well there is a lot of scope to turn this into an addictive game. Things like improved graphics, unique weapons, varied level themes, booby traps and environmental hazards to make things more tactful etc. The plan for the initial release would be to use advertisements on a free version of the game, that being said I am also open to a fixed fee as long as the price is right. As before what art work is needed will be done by me. I’m an experienced pixel artist and have created assets for a variety of projects; I have worked for amateur game makers, start-up companies, various flash game sites, and even a few people more established within the industry. Small examples of my work http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=11063 These two iPhone apps were also fully designed by me and then out sourced to a programmer in a similar manner to how I would like this game to work. Xurge - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/xurge/id461718872?mt=8 (http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j260/matwek/Concept%20Art/sc1.png) (http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j260/matwek/Concept%20Art/sc3.png) Blossoms - http://itunes.apple.com/mt/app/blossoms/id478676125?mt=8 (http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j260/matwek/Concept%20Art/mzlxkqbikso320x480-75.jpg) (http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j260/matwek/Concept%20Art/mzlueqlyejk320x480-75.jpg) Additionally I am also working on a reimagined version of the classic Bomberman game for the Android market, which will also be fully supported with Facebook applications. Recently I also completed the art and design for a flash game that will be used in conjunction with advertisement to promote a TV pilot. So what I’m looking for is an experienced programmer with the ability to upload onto the app store and add advertisements if needed. At the very most the game would need AI opponents and the option to play human opponents on the same phone, but if possible online play would be a huge plus. If you feel like you’re up to the task send me an email ([email protected]) with some info about yourself. The sooner the better.
