Curling game looks sweet. Does sweeping have any effect or is it just for show? Title: Re: Curling! Post by: Alec on September 30, 2008, 09:02:17 AM Yeah, sweeping melts the ice slightly in front of the rock slightly, which causes it to go a bit further and curl less.

We were considering adding microphone input, so that you can yell to increase the sweep power. ;) Very nice work guys. We used Unity, which is proving to be a really cool tool for making games.(which I was surprised with, coming from a background of programming my own engines) So when will a demo be available for us to try? :) Not sure yet! I tried learning too late, and failed. I went to a Curling class that was me and my friend with a bunch of middle aged women, and ended up falling on my ass a lot. Turns out ice is really slippery. :P |
