This is an interactive art piece in which the user is placed within a dreamscape. His or her actions dictate the contents of the dream; the analysis of the resulting visuals is part of the artwork and is a reflection of the user's ego/id. I guess this will be my last contribution to this thread, given that I've just gotten home. Wow, this one is amazing. It was a pleasure to see the way you work, it's very inspirational. Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: curby on November 10, 2008, 03:51:21 PM JimBob and I spent half of Saturday and Sunday making this:

Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: Farbs on November 10, 2008, 05:24:32 PM I can upload the code/binaries for them all (terry's original engine was an entry to the one-screen-of-code coding challenge (here (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=2156.msg53247#msg53247))) if you want to see them. Please! Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: Terry on November 10, 2008, 05:28:00 PM Some really wonderful stuff came out of this. I for one can't wait for the final version of Hasselhoff Mystery!
I worked on a total of five games at the Jam, two of which have already been posted here: Unattended Luggage (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=3581.0) with Increpare and Alteisentier in Dublin airport while we waited for our flight, a nebulus style platformer (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=3593.msg103828#msg103828) with Dock,Corpus and Alec (via TIGIRC) which is shaping up to be really, really cool (and should hopefully be finished in the new few weeks), and I did a bit of work on my ongoing flash experiment Buster Drake (I've uploaded a new prototype (http://distractionware.com/games/flash/proto/))! The other two games I worked on: A very silly game about a bus (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=3606.0): (http://distractionware.com/blog/images/2008/nov/maverickbus1.png) And more seriously, a little jetpack platformer. After we finished up on Sunday night I went to a hotel lobby with Increpare, Alteisentier, MightyPea and BenH and we worked on this: (http://distractionware.com/blog/images/2008/nov/jetpackawesome.png) It's sort of a three hour project; I should have it finished off and uploaded tomorrow :) Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: Laremere on November 10, 2008, 06:08:32 PM Oh sweet, can't wait to play. That art looks awesome.
Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: increpare on November 11, 2008, 04:06:30 AM Oops, two more shots I forgot about
(http://www.maths.tcd.ie/~icecube/Picture40-1.png) (done on the Stansted express, following a suggestion of Terry's) and another raytracing shot that somehow ended up in my recycle bin (http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj200/increpatio/Picture41-1.png) Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: Corpus on November 11, 2008, 10:26:10 AM (http://dfuters.com/tigjam/images/iphone-tank-game-mockup-sketch.png)
This was a quick mockup I drew on the sunday morning a little bit after I woke up. I was planning on giving it a vectory look so didn't want to post it until I'd made it... vectory, but I think I might actually stick with this sketchy style instead. Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: increpare on November 11, 2008, 10:34:31 AM i think that looks pretty strong myself.

Sorry I missed you on Sunday :(
I've just finished off Jetpack Super Adventure Time - check it out (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=3622.0)! Otherwise ,I've been working on a quick mockup of the game (http://www.benfiquet.com/uploaded_images/mockup01) Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: BenH on November 12, 2008, 06:01:16 AM Now lets just hope I can code it well 8)
Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: Corpus on November 12, 2008, 07:02:54 AM Looks fantastic, Fikey. Will you be keeping in those cool fog effects?
Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: fikey on November 12, 2008, 07:12:00 AM benh> sure you will ;)
corpus> well, actually ,there's no real fog effects... that's just the trees that have a gradient to the white and give you the impression of a fog. But hey ,why not do a real fog between the trees ? Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: Corpus on November 12, 2008, 07:18:49 AM Oh, no, I mean the foggy forest stuff that was going on in the thing Ben was working on as you were making that animation.
I thought they were both for the same game. Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: BenH on November 12, 2008, 07:43:23 AM Yeah, that was the same thing. I think the fog looked pretty cool, but it was against a dark background, so whether or not it will work against the lighter background remains to be seen~
Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: Corpus on November 12, 2008, 09:02:38 AM Some other things.
(http://www.dfuters.com/tigjam/images/DevDB.png) This was a very bare-bones tool I was working on to allow people to upload screenshots of their progress on their jam games. I didn't actually get it working at the jam because of problems with settings on my domain, but I've got it sorted out now and I'm trying to develop it into something that could be useful to people. Also, the lonely and not-quite-right rock tile. I really wish I'd been there for it. Next year I'll definitely try to have a laptop!

Title: Re: Tigjam UK screenshots Post by: Alex May on November 13, 2008, 01:53:25 AM Heh, well it was originally supposed to be a little more coherent, like a proper management game where you have to make sure the sleeping subject doesn't get too excited, aroused, frustrated or frightened. Different elements in the screen would relate to these things and interact in a kind of rock-paper-scissors way.
