Title: The Text Sim: the game of the book of the game. [Ignore this] Post by: Garreett on February 21, 2009, 02:30:02 PM Ignore this, I've got a better idea for a game not revolving around a horribly constrained competition.

You push the door open. > JUMP You jump. > LOOK EARTH You remember when you were crossing that bridge back in '93? And when you told yourself "don't look down"? Yeah, you should probably remember that - what you don't know can't hurt you. --- Also, I hope to introduce some sort of ship upgrading system - the final goal? Well, you'll just have to wait and find out. Title: Re: The Text Sim: the game of the book of the game. Post by: professor dead on February 21, 2009, 03:03:55 PM i have strange feelings about this ;) is it going to be serious or humorous? also, i can't imagine how fast the action could be portrayed? how far have you gotten on this and what are you making it with?
[edit] also, it'd be cool to introduce yourself in the introductions section :gentleman: Title: Re: The Text Sim: the game of the book of the game. Post by: Garreett on February 21, 2009, 03:14:37 PM It is both serious and humorous; think Blizzard style - the gameplay is serious-ish, but with humour in places, and I've not started started it yet due to Sunday-start rules. I'm probably going to make it in C#, but I could do it in C or C++ if I cared enough to do it "properly".
