Title: Looking for Video Game Hip Hop music (from games)
Post by: EasterlyArt on October 20, 2016, 03:08:31 PM
From games like Jurassic Park on SNES, to Super Adventure Island, to Goemons Great Adventure and TEKKEN 3, I am looking for more games that have Hip Hop like music (yes, Jet Set Radio is boss for that). Anything really that has a typical breakbeat vibe, maybe some scratching in it, etc. Not really looking for games like THPS where tracks were selected from pre-existing sources. Thank you! Also, remixes are cool as well like stuff by Mega Ran and K-Murdock, but I prefer to get stuff from the games themselves.

Good call. 1080 certainly has some goodies, and Wipeout certainly has some good breaks in it. Thank you both!

Fun fact: There was an awkward stage in rhythm games between Parrappa and DDR, I found one of these in the bargain bin at my local Game-shop loooong ago.

Best 3 bucks I ever spent...the damn game was so addictive.

Check out Bust a Groove one and two, the tracks are super, SUPER cheesy but there is a handful of hip-hop tracks in there you might like.

Good stuff.

Shenmue - Tom's Dance Loop (he's always groovin')

and third strike

Tom's Dance Loop certainly has potential, but I never realized how sample heavy Third Strike was. Thank you!
