Title: 30 Seconds Remaining

30 SECONDS REMAINING

DOWNLOAD (http://www.hempuli.com/dataflashsabot/30sr.zip)  EDIT: Thanks Hempuli for hosting!

You are a tiny pixellated man (what were you expecting?) who must avoid
various obstacles in order to reach the exit within 30 seconds.

Anyone who's played In 60 Seconds by William Broom will immediately see what I ripped off where I got the inspiration.

Just a short and simple game, created by my drive to stop messing around in Construct and just bloody make something. Hopefully you'll enjoy it :)

Created with Construct. Some people report problems running Construct games, so let me know how it goes for you. No shaders required, if you have them then some things will look slightly fancier.

Some testing and web hosting by Hempuli
More testing by jsticker
All other credits in the readme.

Controls: Arrows, Z.

There are three 'cheats', each activated by holding down two different letter keys at the same time. They were made for testing, and I decided not to remove them. (There are really only two cheats, as one only reverses the effects of another)

Any general criticism is good :)

Enjoy!

*bump* doesn't work for me - I hope it does for others.

Jump sound was too loud compared to the music so I couldn't hear anything.
The jump physics were too floaty and I didn't feel like when I fell it was my fault, it felt like it was the game's fault for having bad physics. You shouldn't slide around when you hit the ground.
The laser bit at the end was making an already 'difficult for stupid reasons' game even more difficult for stupid reasons ("Well see there's a countdown timer.. AND a giant laser following you! And you can only see 5 feet in front of you. Genius!")
You obviously know how to make a game but this one made me angry for many reasons. Try to fix your level design, make the game window larger (ie: allow the player to see more in front of him so he doesn't get as angry at the game).
The goal is to make the game entirely skill, not partially skill, partially memorization and partially luck. A good way to eliminate luck and memorization is to tighten up the controls/physics, make the screen size larger, and remove the laser, but make the timer shorter or the goal farther away.

Sorry about that Hempuli, seemed to be a compatibility issue when we talked on IRC.

Thanks for the feedback, Ryx! I'll take it into account for the sequel 32 Seconds Remaining (which I will release, eventually).
