Title: Flipnote Studio thread Post by: Pietepiet on August 14, 2009, 12:05:12 AM Flipnote Studio is a free DSiware application that has just been released all over the world on DSiware. It's a pretty deep animation program, with layers, onion skinning, different brushes, sound recording, etc. But the best feature is that you can directly upload your animations to Flipnote Hatena (http://flipnote.hatena.com/), where you can rate and comment on animations as well.
Flipnote Studio also allows you to save your animations as .gif, so they can be used as avatars and stuff as well. Anyway, I figured there must be at least a few people who have a DSi around here, so I thought "Why not make a Flipnote thread?" I'll start it off with my 5 minute practice animation I did last night to get the hang of the app and its features: http://flipnote.hatena.com/95850250F3FAF252@DSi/movie/FAF252_0908ECF3F5091_000?in=user Title: Re: Flipnote Studio thread Post by: Kekskiller on August 14, 2009, 01:22:11 AM Hmpf, too bad it'S for the DSi only. What would be more awesome than making a with FLipnote graphics and DS-10 music?
Title: Re: Flipnote Studio thread Post by: Aquin on August 14, 2009, 01:24:05 AM That sounds pretty damn awesome. I need to get both of these programs. And a DSi.
Maybe when I go buy Professor Layton, I'll pick up a DSi as well. Title: Re: Flipnote Studio thread Post by: Pietepiet on August 14, 2009, 02:10:47 AM Hmpf, too bad it'S for the DSi only. I'm not that surprised. It's a good application, but not for retail. It makes sense as a free downloadable thing. I really thought it'd end up as vapor. I guess I better go check it out. I hope they resolved that whole keyboard issue.

Check out htp://www.openpandora.org/ (http://htp://www.openpandora.org/). It will be awesome, but limited in terms production. The first bunch is already sold via preordering (I preordered one last year...).Title: Re: Flipnote Studio thread Post by: Pietepiet on August 14, 2009, 03:17:08 AM And I really don't understand why the DSi itself. I know, you can some more bits of stuff with it, but playing GBA isn't possible. It has a lot of things going for it that I personally like, such as the matte finish or the better buttons, but let's not get into this. Don't want to derail the thread :P [EDIT] Made another: http://flipnote.hatena.com/95850250F3FAF252@DSi/movie/FAF252_09098C5FC6851_000?in=user Title: Re: Flipnote Studio thread Post by: FishyBoy on August 16, 2009, 03:31:37 PM Love this program.

Looks like Easytoon.
