Title: Free Engine Programmer
Post by: Maxim Schoemaker on October 21, 2009, 01:46:45 AM
Dear Reader,

Are you an artist who wants to make games, but just can't because you know shit about programming? I am here to help you! :)

I am the programmer for Sir Realism (http://sir-realism.com/), but as you can see we do not have many games. This is mainly because we are only with 2 people and we have a tendency of not finishing games. On my part this is because I really love to program the beginning of a project (the engine) and hate the endless stuff that comes after that.

Therefore I have decided that I mainly want to make engines (next to my Sir Realism work). The problem is, I have no-one to make an engine for. So, if you are eager to make a game, but can't because you don't know how. Please, contact me. I work for free, only my name in the credits will suffice. ;)

I work in flash with AS2 (I have Flash CS3). Contact me via: maxim [at] sir-realism.com.

Examples of Engines (I made them especially for you =D):

Cat Collision Engine (http://sir-realism.com/catcollisionengine.php)
Which shows my ability to apply perfect collision detection.

Drawing Enclosure Finding Engine (http://sir-realism.com/drawingenclosurefindingengine.php)
Which shows my ability to do complicated yet useless things.

Drawing Recognition (Mainly Cats) Engine (http://sir-realism.com/drawingrecognitionmainlycatsengine.php)
Which shows my ability to combine awesome features with cats.

It's Raining and You Know it Engine (http://sir-realism.com/itsrainingandyouknowitengine.php)
Which shows my ability to create awesome stuff which even looks a bit stylish.

looking forward to new projects!

Greetings,

Maxim Schoemaker (Igor)

The beginning made me think of those basic "Do You Want To Be Awesome? makemoneybysellingyourselfandgivingusallyourmoney" posts. The latter part made me think again. Good post. :)

But less formal approach is also appreciated here. Whatever. I'm not sure why I wrote this, because I'm one of those persons who want to do everything by themself. However I wish there's someone who seeks for your help! :)
