Right, yes.  I was saying that the term "RPG" is not meant to be interpreted exclusively on the surface level.  The term is typically used to describe game mechanics, not whether the game includes a definition of the player's being.

Is the Sims really a role-playing game?  What role do you play in it?  God? The Devil? 

Let's not turn this into a semantics argument.  "RPG" =/= "Game in which you play a role."  Such a simplification makes no goddamn sense.
