I got salmonella from a fast food place I used to work at. I tried to call in sick, but they said I had to come in anyways.

Anyone doing a basic WHOIS check on the domains would find that they're registered to a Reid Kirchenbauer ('grey') and a Sandra Fordham ('gray' in 2008), not Nintendo.

My old Toshiba Satellite had a panel on the bottom that could be removed to reveal a rectangular chip that looked like it could be removed, but I think there might have been some sticker that warned of voiding the warranty.
I can't check it right now, as I don't have it with me - I left it back at my parent's house after a nice "security feature" was triggered, preventing the computer from getting passed BIOS unless you shipped it to one of Toshiba's repair centers and paid them to type in a password they won't give you over the phone.

Since my family wouldn't get a video game system until I saved up to buy my own, I grew up on PC games. The Learning Company (Reader Rabbit, Treasure Mountain, Oregon Trail) made most of the good children's games, and looking back, I think I could still enjoy playing some of them with any kids I end up having in the future. In general, "kids games" for the PC platform were either decent, obviously bad, or looked good until you actually tried playing them. I also remember disliking the majority of "children's games" on the basis that they were children's games, assuming that the adults who made them thought kids were stupid and dumbed down their games accordingly. Most of the games I liked as a kid weren't specifically children games at all, like Sim City, Theme Park, Cosmic Cosmo, and Commander Keen. I sucked at them way more than Treasure Mountain, but I played them a lot more (or just watched my dad play them). I also remember watching my dad play Catacombs II (pseudo-3D fantasy dungeon crawler that would later evolve into the first "Doom"). The health meter kind of freaked me out, though, as I was under the impression that the character's head actually was being progressively skinned from top to bottom as he got more and more wounded. Kid Pix was awesome, too.

From listening to my grandma as a kid, Peoria sounds like a place people and things get stuck in a lot. Even when they've previously been located in California.

Player / General / Steve Jobs discussion (split from "RIP Steve Jobs" thread)

Thats because this is a game development forum and it's filled with people who are interested in computer scripting.
Which was the argument when it was first brought up, and the counter to that was that this is the "General" forum which often deviates to non-game-related discussions. I'm not taking any "sides" to this argument, I'm just pointing out what's already been argued for the sake of avoiding the usual forum debate Möbius loop that these things usually end up getting stuck in.
