Hello Dearest One,

Hope you are fine. Thanks for responding to my mail.

I am Miss Patricia Tommi I am 24yrs old.. I am from Ivory coast in West Africa. I am the  only child of (late) Dr Johnson Tommi who was one of the personal adviser to the late head of state Dr. Robert Guei. He was also the Managing Director of Tomson Company Ltd(Cocoa Merchants), Abdijan before his assassination along with my mother in a cold-blood one early morning.

I am constrained to contact you because of the maltreatment i am receiving from my step- mother. She planned to take away all my late father's treasury and properties from me since this unexpected death of my beloved Father and mother.

Meanwhile, i wanted to escape to Europe but she hide away my international passport and other valuable traveling documents. Luckily, i was able to find one of my late father's file which contains his important documents and escaped with it to the refugee camp where i am presently seeking asylum under the United Nations High Commission here in Dakar Capital of Senegal.

My father of blessed memory deposited the sum of seven million five hundred thousand dollars(US$7.5 m) in a bank with me as the next of kin. However, i shall forward you with the necessary information of the deposit on confirmation of your acceptance to assist me for the claim, transfer and investment of the fund in your country. This is important so that i will be able to go back to school to complete my study which stopped as a result of the crisis in my country.

I will compensate you with 20% of the total money for your assistance. And the balance shall be my investment capital, and will be transferred into my own personal account i shall open later when i arrive your country.

My hobbies are reading, swimming, traveling and going to interesting places. It is also my interest to get married after my study with a good and caring man.
My national language is french, but i speak English fluently because i was born and trained in Sierra Leone.

I will stop here and hope to hear from you soon. I will try to send you my picture in my next mail.

Your lovely,
Patricia.

Name: Cory

What I does: Game Art. Here are my very current, super official stats, based on my overall knowledge and <3:

General 2d: photoshop
|||-- 3/5
2d concept:
||||- 4/5
2d character:
|||-- 3/5
2d animation:
||--- 2/5
2d environment:
|||-- 3/5
2d tech:
|||-- 3/5

i'm just not that passionate or good at 2d game stuff. it takes me forever. this was just a doodle i made one day because i was bored. i was eating saltines and water when i made it.

General 3d: 3ds max
||||- 4/5
3d character:
||||- 4/5
3d animation:
||--- 2/5
3d environment:
||||- 4/5
3d tech:
|||-- 3/5

i want to make a randomized multi-tiered 3d environment so bad. that's it, nothing else really. i don't want to make games, just single features. but i will help others do their thing.

Some of the things I've worked on:
Concept Artist - Alientrap - advanced Quake1 Mod - "Zymotic"

Concept Artist / Lead Artist - small local team of students - Half-Life 2 mod - "Solo Axis"

3d Modeler - small online team - Hife-Life 2 mod - "unnamed"

Game Artist - Iron Lore Entertainment
"Titan Quest" (made one sword)
"TQ: Immortal Throne"
"Dawn of War: Soulstorm"

3D Artist - Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment - "Stargate Worlds"

TIGjam application: Artist Backup.
TIGjam weapon: Fucked-up-computer. My personal computer is basically a shiny rock with peripherals coming out of it. I will buy a new mouse and maybe wacom for this event. I will surely need it. I have a 10 x 12 that sucks ass. it's creaky and too big. If i manage to buy a new one, maybe we can smash my old one or give it away as a prize. i suggest a hot-sauce contest. Angry

What I want out of TIGjam: Just chill and create. It's my last $50, so why the fuck not. I want to work on single-feature 3d projects. my role will most likely be a roaming artist for anyone that wants art for their things, including remote teams (if there are any). look forward to meeting you.

regarding: http://tigsource.com/articles/2008/08/23/tigjam

i couldn't find a topic or thread on the forums here, so i hope this can create some discussion on it. sry if there already is a topic up, plx fwd a link if that is the case.

who's going?

why are you?

my answers: i bought my ticket a few ago. i'm local, so it will be easier for me to attend than others so, i don't have much of an excuse to avoid it. i'm going, to support the concept, it seems cool and it would make for a fun weekend. brass monkeys and making art with a bunch of indies.. ya, i would every weekend if my organs would allow it.

where can we expect to look for more info regarding TIGJam when it becomes available?

there was talk in the news post comments like, “How about we organize one in England, one in Canada, one in Australia, and one in Sweden all for the same 3 days?”

Matthew:
“A simultaneous jam is a great idea–do it! Grab the reigns for your region. Work out the logistics and email Derek to post about it.”

Derek:
“YES. THAT IS A GREAT IDEA. MAKE IT HAPPEN.”

i think it would be rad to see happen.

has anyone tried organizing something outside of arizona?

thanks
kp

I was able to find a programmer that would work with me! Thanks to those that replied.

hI tigsource.com Smiley

i'm new, nice to meet u. i'm looking to team up with a programmer.

so, i'm an artist currently working in the industry and i've been having the side-project jitters for a few months now, it seems as if they aren't going to go away. i do characters and environments, my main interest being texture work. here's my stuff: www.coryrobinson.info

i'm interested in working on something extremely small in scope as a hobby interest. i'm not interested in working on a "full game" no game design documents or anything. i'm just looking to create single game-feature-prototype-like-things that would involve working with a programmer. just little tech ideas that would require both an artist and programmer. i'll most likely be able to contribute time after work 6pm arizona time(i crunch wednesdays) and every other weekend (bi-weekly lan party). WTF

i have a few ideas,
the one i like the most would be to help create a randomly generated 3d environment, something like that which would be used in diablo 3. the goal having to create modular and instanced chucks of levels that plug together to make something new each time.

i'd also be interested in some type of dynamic material prototype. something that plays with the concept of aging textures, where the textures detail themselves based off their surrounding elements. i thought narrowing the materials down to just one or two materials would be plausible to make an environment that is made entirely of cement and metal. brittle structures would be more prone to cracking, surfaces and cracks would collect dust and dirt, surfaces near metal would rust.

I was able to find a programmer that would work with me! Thanks to those that replied.
