Good lords! *wipes sweat from his brow* What is happening to my quiet and friendly town?
I hereby impose a night curfew - whoever is seen on the streets after nightfall shall be incarcerated without hesitation. Annabelle, please prepare the cells.
Furthermore I shall send for help from our neighbor village, it is a dangerous journey at these dark times, but I think I have a man of the right caliber. Xotes, our loyal head of justice, do you agree?
I do not see much reason behind the suspicion against Mitchard. Sure he is a drunk and a disgrace to this noble town, but can you imagine him to be a monster? It almost seems like a conspiracy to murder the poor sod. Especially Cheater and Gainsworthy seem to work together very closely - so I vote for Cheater for now.

I can't seem to make a 100% evil map. Setting the minimum evil tiles way up seems to make there be none.
That's because in a world where everything is evil there is no way to define what evil is... But awesome update - I love reading the world histories, so I haven't even started dwarf mode again.

...The murder of our mayor...
*Clears his throat* Considering the last election, I would think I am still the mayor of our proud town. We can't have this. Our lord Xion himself was a wolf? Are there more in this town? I demand clarity! I say Cheater and GeneralValter should arm everyone, that they may defend themselves. Also please put a guard in front of your humble mayor's house, will you.

I agree, the hud looks a little intrusive, but the rest is very lovely anyhow. The file editing sounds like a brilliant idea. I guess you will have limited "edits" and have to recharge them somehow? I think there is a near endless potential in this idea. Editing the moon to emit a differently coloured light (affecting enemies somehow?), editing one guy's beer mug to be empty, starting a bar fight, editing a boss swimming in water to be unable to swim or editing the temperature of the water he sits in - there could even be multiple solutions to some puzzles.

This sound like an excellent concept. How do you create money sinks that make sense in terms of gameplay?
I think one way would be to put all players in random alliances - maybe city states - that are wealthy and peaceful at the beginning. Players can fund new projects (a simple voting system should do the job) for their cities and go out into the wilderness to hunt and gather resources. As these limited resources can be put into intersections between the factions conflicts will arise, taking their toll on the economy of the single states. Eventually there will be no natural resources and all that is left is to plunder the weaker cities. Now you bring in some apocalyptical beasts and natural desasters to keep players entertained.
For added flavour there could be revolutions within the cities (different classes could have their own representation in government and try to gain control over the others), maybe the need to eat once in a while (+ burning the fields of the enemies) or a world government that breaks apart in the course of the game (there would be pros and cons if the players can keep it running till the late game).
Actually thinking about it makes me a little sad because I know there will never be enough people that are interested in such an endeavour (especially because you are bound to lose your earned stuff sooner or later).

Yes, I have been mostly silent for the last day because I truly have no conclusive idea right now and my last vote turned out to be terribly wrong.
Lets see what we have, potential wolves or other sinister entities in orange:
joshg Annabelle Kennedy: Seer (almost certain, except there's some unexpected class) chutup Gainsworthy robotacon: Combat Medic TeamQuiggan increpare GeneralValter: confirmed human by Annabelle hroon: (well I can only speak for myself but I am pretty sure I am no wolf) shinygerbil Noyb
If I had to base my vote on simple gut feeling I would say increpare right now because he seems to have a grudge against shinygerbil somehow.

Nice! I hope it's not just another remake (But I would still buy it).
Chrono Trigger was one of the few RPGs where the battles didn't drive me away from the game.
