So is this still going?
42  Player / General / Re: Obligatory GTA IV Thread on: June 01, 2008, 10:40:15 AM
This begs the question though. Whats the point of this thread?

All it seems to be is everybody stating their opinion on that its bad/its great and nothing else.

Is their any output for all the rants that have gone on here?

I dont think anybody will buy this game/not buy this game because of anything said on this thread, and theirs no point in reading anybodies review because as seen in this thread, everybody either loves it or hates it and everybody is different.

I, like Saladan, wish to join. Is there any initiation process, or am I now on the waiting list?

...Speaking of which, is there a waiting list?

For a second I read "I like Saladan." And I became happy that I had found a friend.

Then I read it again and slipped back into my life of depression and failure.

Sorry to disappoint everybody. But it seems that it wasnt a Giant Skeletal Eagle, it was just a Giant Eagle.

It didn't attack the migrants. Which I suppose is a good thing.

Cant wait to make cage traps and catch them. They will make excellent guards for my fort.
47  Player / General / Re: Walldream: The "Terrifying" Fortress of death. on: May 28, 2008, 03:02:14 PM
Ok, so I got a message that some migrants came. And Instantly my blood froze over.

Not because of the migrants themselves, but because of what I saw right next to them.

Dont worry, Im definitely going to record the bloody carnage.

So at regular intervals I get massed by a tribe of monkies. This, is actually a good thing. They are very weak and they are great target practice for my marksdwarves.

Not to mention they supply me with bones to build more crossbow bolts as well.
49  Player / General / Re: Walldream: The "Terrifying" Fortress of death. on: May 28, 2008, 11:01:07 AM
Im an idiot btw. A real moron.

Remember how I could never find the corpses of skeletal giant eagles that have been killed? I couldnt zoom to them or anything?

Thats because there was no corpse! You kill skeletons they turn into bones!

Congrats to Terry, He did the most damage against this one.

Im back, and Ill start the game up again soon.

I strongly suggest anyone to go out and try this game, its free and it makes you think. I know this isnt the type of game for all of you, but I think it warrants an hour or so of your time.

Also, feel free to PM me any questions on the game. I know how to get by but I am no means a master or anything at this game.

Rightyo, let the horrors re-commence!

Yea.... about that battle..

Didnt really turn out like the epic "Lord of the rings" fight scene as I imagined.

Im going to give that marksdwarf a medal though..

Sure valter, Ill sign you up in the military.

They have been kicking ass.

Ive just about wiped out ALL the menace in this map, except for a troll which I think is a megabeast. But somehow, its already been injured so If I gangrape it, I may have a chance.

Ill also be recording it so You can all watch the action.

HOLY CRAP!

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!

The Giant eagle was attacking and killing some of my dwarves (It killed 3, no tiggers though) And somehow, it died.

Somebody killed the Skeletal Giant Eagle and I dont know who...
59  Player / General / Re: Walldream: The "Terrifying" Fortress of death. on: May 26, 2008, 04:07:27 PM
Its not my fault you got possesed and just stood there! I didnt know what freaking shop to make you!

There wasnt anything I could do.

Also, on a brighter note I figured out the DF movie recording system. Apparantly the same website that lets me view and upload maps allows you to upload movies you record off of DF as well. So heres my first test video where I sent a bunch of recruits out to kill some skeletal mountain goats.

http://mkv25.net/dfma/movie-584-goatkill

Should make this thread ALOT more interesting.

EDIT: Set the movie rate to 200, 100 is way to slow.
