Smithy, I really wanna put you in the game as an unlockable arena character. I'm gonna need some help from you, though.
Groovy! I'll help in whatever ways you need. This is the best Jack Rumble related news in awhile! The Legendary Smithy, as an unlockable character! Incredible! Once when playing DoomRL I put the character name as Smithy and got further than ever before. I doubt it's a coincidence.

I'm so indie I shouldn't even be on this forum. I should be making games that no one except me(and maybe my mom :3) ever gets to play.
I'm so indie even my mum won't play my games.
Hence indier. Better call Mario, 'cause you just got ONE UPPED!I'm so indie, I don't get it Really? I thought it was a good joke. That whooshing sound you just heard. That was the joke just going right past your head.

Out of the Spotlight You have to play as somebody, who under ordinary circumstances would be a secondary character, or even somebody who the main character wouldn't care about at all. There are plenty of ways to do this. The main character could be totally incompetent, so you've gotta make sure that he's able to actually succeed in his mission. You could be Expendable Grunt #644 and just try to survive as the ultra hulking man-and-a-half crazy and questionably good guy storms through HQ and destroys all in his path in an attempt to kill your boss. Hell, don't play as anybody! Control some sort of camera, and only be able to mildly influence the environment. In closing, I was never good at making a paragraph sound like it's finished.

IT'S AWWWWRIGHT! Only like 3 people here will get this joke.
I got it. And, I don't think that his post was a big deal. I mean, it's a classic comedic method. "Ordinary list item, ordinary list item, ordinary list item, extremely strange/ out of place list item, ordinary list item."

There's a cover of Bicycle Race on a Lemon Demon album, and his latest album contains a remix of Hey Ya. Not a cover, a remix. Yes, they do cost money. He doesn't seem to be getting in any trouble.
maybe they just paid to cover them or maybe they even work for the same major. Lemon Demon is independent. He pretty much just makes songs for fun.

So, what's the legality of this? I heard some stuff about the Harry Fox agency, but their site doesn't answer my question exactly. Let me give an example. I cover a song, then make a game. I put the song in the game. I distribute the game for free, but I don't claim the song is my own, I make it extremely clear that I have covered song X from band Y.
Would this get me in trouble?
Pretty sure you could have people pay for the game and you wouldn't get in trouble.
