741  Jobs / Offering Paid Work / Re: Seeking Retro Music/Sound Artist on: July 23, 2010, 09:32:02 AM
I might as well through my hat into the ring on this one as well, depending on availability at the time. Maybe I'll even have my website up by then. :D
742  Developer / Audio / Re: Anyone know of a decent Choir vst/samples/soundfont? on: July 22, 2010, 09:15:58 AM
If I was making decent coinage from my music I'd definitely buy something from EWQL, but right now that's a pretty hard pill to swallow.

I used to rock out to the Unreal OST also. One of the first games games that I ever played with realistically metal tracks. (Not that Crue Ball was bad or anything. If anyone remembers playing that on the Genesis. Grin)

Also sent a PM.
745  Hidden / Unpaid Work / Re: Programmer, Musician, and Background artist wanted on: July 21, 2010, 10:26:23 AM
I'm a composer who does several style of music, so anything from 8bit to Speed Metal (My forte is guitar.) I'm busy working on Hangedman's RUINS until about July 31st for the AGBIC contest. We wnat to get as much done for the contest deadline but after that I should be able to wrench some free time away from his game to do other sound tracks. You can reach me in the IRC channel under KM or PM me here.

Just curious, what style of sound track you would want for the game?
746  Developer / Audio / Re: Anyone know of a decent Choir vst/samples/soundfont? on: July 19, 2010, 04:19:42 AM
This is quite a bit better than what I had before. Thanks for the help. :D One day I'll get more expensive stuff, but just not today.

On a different note, I saw that Sonar 8.5 Studio is $180 right now. I'm wondering if I should get it and replace reaper... Any suggestions?
747  Developer / Audio / Anyone know of a decent Choir vst/samples/soundfont? on: July 18, 2010, 07:49:00 PM
I've been banging my head against the wall trying to find something that can make a decent choir track for a song I'm working on that isn't you know, $200+. Looking for that haunting male choir tone but something that isn't so synthesized that it sounds like it came straight from Final Fantasy VI.

Any ideas that won't cost a ton? Thanks. :D
748  Developer / Audio / Re: Great soundfont VST on: July 12, 2010, 09:25:28 AM
Right now I use Dimension LE for my soundfonts, I kind of needed it for a special soundfont pack that I got. Different formatting or what not. I kind of like it,  though the orchestration it came with I didn't like. Well it was free, so can't complain too much.

And I thought sfz didn't colour the sounds from the SFs?
749  Developer / Audio / Re: Anybody hear of a "chuckphantom?" on: July 12, 2010, 07:05:00 AM
Speaking of rocking Sailor Moon tunes, (Yes, I can't believe what the world is coming to either.) DJPretzel from OCRemix has a good one.
750  Developer / Audio / Re: Original gameboy esque music needed on: July 12, 2010, 06:56:13 AM
If you need some more chiptunes, I could probably oblige. I currently have a small ost due for July 31st for an AGBIC game so it'd have to wait mostly until then or if I finish the ost early.

I don't have any of my absolutely low-bit game music on my server right now, I can upload one or two after work. But I can link you to a higher-bit chiptune I'm working on right now. You can listen to that at http://www.littleghosties.com/music/climb_that_wall_demo3.mp3 (I sure hope the url is right because I'm remembering it off the top of my head.)
751  Developer / Audio / Re: Testify! Classify! (Who actually does what around here?) on: July 12, 2010, 06:37:10 AM
Yeah, I couldn't pick just one. Some I do more than others. Except for Polka, I don't think I've done any Polka. Need to get on that...
752  Developer / Audio / Re: Great soundfont VST on: July 11, 2010, 11:23:06 AM
Cakewalk offers two sfz players free. They're not great by any means, but they are another option.
753  Hidden / Unpaid Work / Re: Really short music for a duelling game (challenging restrictions?) on: July 11, 2010, 11:05:22 AM
What kind of genre of music would you want for the game? Also it's probably just best to not have music for the actual firing sequence unless it's something of urgency in the music like Final Fantasy V's Hurry! Hurry! track (Track 04). I mean, I can honestly not remember any music in any duel scenes I've scene on TV. Just the gun shot.
754  Community / A Game by Its Cover / Re: [AGBIC] Climb = Summit on: July 10, 2010, 07:54:07 PM
Hempuli‽ did you need any music for the game by the way? I may have incidentally made some music based on the idea of a wall climbing game. There's a story behind this but to sum it up, my memory is just really bad. Anyway, send me a PM or something and I can show you the demo.

This probably should be in the paid collaborations forum...

I remember when I had no AC in my car. >_>; I literally took 2L bottles of water, filled them 3/4 full, froze them, then strapped them to my body for the trip. I guess a pack of ice would work too...
757  Player / General / Re: Steam's having some big sale on: June 28, 2010, 10:37:33 AM
Got Civ4 here too. Once I learn how to actually play it as I haven't played a Civ game in years I'll get some games going with Tigsource people.
758  Community / Jams & Events / Re: TIGVan: CANADA 2010 on: June 28, 2010, 10:35:41 AM
G20... is that kind of like E3, just with 20 Gs?

Just kidding. That's gotta suck going through all that mess.
759  Player / General / Re: Steam's having some big sale on: June 26, 2010, 12:01:43 PM
Melly, I'll play you some co-ops. Just as soon as I can get it installed. :D

(And honestly, I looked and didn't see this thread when I posted mine, must of been on page 2 or something...)
760  Player / General / Awesome Steam deals on right now. on: June 26, 2010, 10:17:15 AM
Steam's got that awesome sale going on right now, with a whole bunch of indie games. Plus L4D2 for $10. So if anyone wants to play L4D2 with some of the others in TIGSource, now you can afford to. :D
