Threadpools baby, threadpools. No reason to have the threads just look at the the loop hungrily and wait. Have a theadpool that manages all this. You toss a small task (event) for the threadpool and it finds the first available thread and after execution gives out result to the given task. Writing concurrent code is always harder and more complex than writing consecutive code. Nothing changes that. But effectively learning it and actually using those extra cores you got laying around there is the key to success. Obviously if you are making your everyday "fly around and shoot things", the concurrency is just absolutely unecessary. But when starting to get a bit more complex, I see no reason not to do concurrect programming. No reason to limit yourself on one core when multiple ones are available for use. It's all about keeping everything synchronous which can be a daunting and a difficult task. But all this is definitely for more experienced programmers and for bit more advanced stuff.

Let's make a game about gardering and floating trees, me wants~ Quick game to spend five minutes with, done in flashpunk/flixel = instant win. EDIT #1: oh yeah, obviusly, needs to be pure zen like. No info what to do, just try out things and see can you make the things grow.

I felt one with the universe today when I woke up, a bee died next to my head on my pillow. But then it all went wrong, the phobia thread came into my mind. Was the bee trying to sting me in my eyeball? Go into my ear? Mouth? WHAT? Why did you die next to me? I got so angry at the bee that I crushed it, many times. Because I'm pretty sure it was trying to do something evil. So, there, DIE. All evil bugs, die.

DO NOT OPEN THE PANDORA'S BOX! That will result happy programmer room to turn into hell. Please It's really sad how generally in programmer circles it's impossible to have a decent conversation about different ideas / ways of doing things. It's either white or black and the camps just fire at each other shouting insults and random comments and not making proper arguments. Not saying it's happening here BUT it's common thing in programming groups.

I know. Since I cannot do art, the game looks like this. Sorry. I'm a programmer. ;_; I tried asking for collab at some point but nobody cared so here I go. It's pretty much done anyway. It's a game for Android, the aim of the project was to learn TTD, optimising for Dalvik VM and other things... But yeah, it's almost done. Presenting the results tomorrow and then going to write the document/"research" on it, which is 10 000 words... blargh, death.

Hmmh... I realised a new fear, well, not a new but like.. combination of things that makes me shriek everytime I think of it (thanks lovely thread, it's all because of you).
A parasitic bug/worm/what ever that first makes me immobile and starts living in my body and I cannot move, speak or anything. Just lay there and the thing feeds of me and I slowly die. I don't know are there things like that and please, for the love of god, don't mention if there are.

Bugs that want to live in my body, makes me FREAK, literally. I go bat shit crazy. I was hiding under my blanket, scratching myself all the time and shrieking in fear when I saw
. I suggest all people with phobias about bugs, larva, parasitic shit aadsfasds what ever phobia... just look it and die. Many times. I sure did. Still get the shivers from thinking it.
