Hand Metal Left Kiss Hand Thumbs Up Right I...want...this game!!! Please make free for PC! Or PS3 version! Or free PS3  Beer!

Sorry it won't be free, but it will be modestly priced (it's a relatively small game after all).
If we could get it onto PS3, well that would be cool - but first things first, the game needs finishing Smiley

And, it is now finally available to buy from http://www.rgcd.co.uk Smiley

For people who don't know how to use C64 emulators, there's a simple embedded Win32 'double-click here to start' version as well Smiley http://downloads.rgcd.co.uk/games/c64anabalt/c64anabaltwin32.zip

awesome packaging!

I like the art style - it all looks quite insane Smiley

This looks super-fab, the art gives me the same happy vibe as the original Katamari Damacy did.

One suggestion with the hud icons is to not pillow emboss them, it looks a bit out of style with the rest of the art.

Really awesome visuals, the tilt feels great. A pity it's only targeted at xbox.

Thanks! actually the `turn` is in the video - the `tilt` needs coding in still (its a surprise for the games' coder Gabor).

Xbox is just the initial target platform, pc later. Others may be possible too, depends how easy it is to port out from XNA.

Just finished a tilt for the sub (for moving up down) Smiley - was a bit of a pain to do as I started off with too cautious a tilt angle.

Also forgot to make this video public:

It shows an old test level with various bits and bobs working. Try viewing at 720 if possible and fullscreen (ideally looks best at 1:1 but cant see how to do that on youtube, its either small window or fullscreen?). Framerate looks a bit choppy in the video but that just poor capturing on my part.

EDIT - oh and happy new year everyone!  Beer! Coffee

Cant we just wrap this up with the very simple:

Like what you like, dislike what you dislike, be open to change, dont be upset if someone dislikes what you like

that certainly looks deadly in red! If you have time it may be good to try a simple 3 frame `boil` animation to the head of it, just something subtle (1 frame shift tops say) to make the head look like its doing some work.

or maybe just animating the highlight very subtly - depends how it looks ingame.
(I hate suggesting things when not seen in situ, as it is easy to over analyse things)

good fun - ended up getting killed by an enemy that spawned seemingly on top of me (I was travelling up so perhaps the perspective made it seem that way).

A ramping up of the game as you score higher might be good to try - eg increase fire rate, increase enemy spawn rate, new multi hit enemies etc.

making up and down tilt frames for a submarine (the last one in image below is having the tilts done to it):

Its quite tricky work :/

nice and jolly game, but I keep finding myself frustrated by not being able to control the bar at the bottom (that bounced the rocket back up).
