POST ANOTHER SCREENY TEEGEE
Shit, I screwed up and broke the order . I owe a BJ to everyone who posted in the thread. Please send your requests. Note to myself: if I'm about to post during my work hours, I should take my time to at least read the thread . Anyway: This one's like the best and most drugged up on drugs game ever. It's the only game that uses words like: poponka, bloch, pipetka and raffa. And they actually start making sense after you play for long enough and let the game rape your mind. I have no idea - but it looks totally insane in a grubby darkseed kinda way.

Arcade related deaths - can you guess em all? line A : New zealand story, ... , ... , ... ,bubble bobble, that overhyped neogeo game Line B : Ghost and goblins, in the hunt, ... ,ikari warriors, ... Line C : Supersprint, ..., ...,snow bros,Mr heli,... Line D : operation wolf, parasol star, splatterhouse, strider, karnov Line E : raiden, gradius, rastan, ...,ghouls and ghosts, robocop very good! but a couple of mistakes: You got ghouls n ghosts/ghosts n goblins reversed. Parasol stars is wrong. If anyone gets 4E i`ll be mightilly impressed

even in normal game to game sequel franchises features are removed and given this is not that crazy.
but on the subject, i want to play it but i have no wifi to acquire it.
Have you tried a Wii lan adapter? I use one and it works a treat, it lets you use a normal network cable to hook up the wii to a router whenever you want to go online.

One little spoiler about this. This is probably the first TIGS compo which, at this point at least, has not a single entry with 0 votes. really? Thats pretty cool, as I`m expecting my wee effort will get zero - there really wasn't much to it by the competition end.

I`d say don't worry about the look of the art too much, as if the gameplay is fun then you could always swap in different art later if you so chose. If you can have fun making the game, and make the game fun to play, then thats a pretty good achievement in my book. Good luck with it.

This is real art, I could stay hours admiring these screenshots. There's definitely not the same vibe with modern games, that's why I stopped buying video game magazines. Screenshots back in the 8bit times were so pretty The great thing about 8bit restrictions was the `how did they do that` effect of many great games. R-type and Rainbow islands on the speccy for example, were incredible conversions on that hardware. Now it feels (and this is generalising a bit but..) like its all about chasing the shaders, and the nearer you get to `realism` the worse things look (as all the minor defects stand out all the more so).

Ok, I`ll sort out a 2x sized version, or possibly full screen.
This is my first use of gamemaker, so I may have to just release different versions as I`m not sure how easy it is to add a choice ingame?
Also Game maker seems to interpolate the art when scaled which is a bit of a shame, as I prefer crisp pixels. But I guess it kinda suits the zx spectrum more (imagining RF output onto a tv).
