awesome concept! Will all the insects/animals be capitalist swine? or will some be fellow comrades to your great socialist cause (such as redback spiders/ladybirds/cochineal beetles...)? He's demaking the demake competition! We have our meta-winner! Looks cool.
funny how people tend to assume posters are `hes` (having said that - I wouldn't be surprised if more than 85% were blokes)

i like the new timings on the nut respawns (i know they aint nuts, but the look like acorns to me). Have you considered thickening the spotlight outlines a little so its easier to spot them with your peripheral vision (or maybe i`m just sat too close to the monitor)

cor this takes me back to the days of snoopy tennis/donkey kong junior my only suggestion would be to make it that the nuts/bags/coins you steal don't respawn until you collect one from each guard. that way you don't pilfer from the easiest guard continually, and also would setup a nice completion rhythm (1,2,3 done, 1,2,3 done , etc). hmm, now i wonder if i still have donkey jr in a box somewhere here...

re. game titles, how easy is it to protect the name of your game (or check that someone might already own it)?
For example, a DS game I once worked on had no title, so the publisher had to find a name for it. Is there a database (like domain names) where you can check who owns what, and register your own titles?
thanks in advance.

I love that the game now has all those asteroids moving in parallax, adds so much depth Excuse my cheekyness, but any chance for the far background to scroll very slightly too? its just begging to scroll

Pretty far from being complete, but again... getting there! ^_^ I'm trying to keep it as accurate to LostWinds as possible. Woo! very nice. What are you thinking of doing for controls? Mouse-as-wiimote? or a true joypad platformer? (or something else?)

heya - fun game, I like how the player speeds up through the levels to make things more tricky.
2 things i think would help make the game feel more solid are...
1. to start your player somewhere more central on the screen if possible (currently you start top left on a new game/after death), because its a bit hard to see hidden up in that corner AND you get instant death from 50% of your control options (up/left=die).
2. Its not super obvious that the walls kill you, a cheap solution might be to run a green line around the outside of the play area - that way you have a clear language that green is bad to touch (as you already know from the rules that green blocks are to be avoided.
hope thats some help.

I don't even remember if it got any decent marketing in the uk when it came out?
Considering it never made it to Europe, I highly doubt that LOL! well that makes a lot of sense now... I assumed I had never spotted it because it had just failed too quickly.
