"Summer" Wink

Seriously though, we are aiming to have the game available on early access within the next 2-3 months.

Super excited to tell you that The Masterplan was just Greenlit on Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=270375424!

Huge thanks to everyone who supported us. Thank you!

Btw, what dev platform are you using? Is it your own engine or Unity or some other engine?

Hey! We're using Haxe and OpenFL, with a ton of our own code.

Thanks!

Moving the character and object shadows based on nearby light sources is actually on the todo list - just didn't make the cut for this video...

Will definitely post an update once we get it in!

More videos!

New in-game footage showcasing the game's new visual style, and a brand new demo level.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks ephoete! Since Aarne is probably sleeping, let me get this one.

We're working with a couple of musicians on the soundtrack already. The goal is to get something authentic - so, real instruments and real musicians. I think the trailer music definitely has the right mood...
8  Developer / Technical / Re: What about HTML5? on: September 17, 2010, 07:18:42 AM
I don't really think that native Flash apps on the iPhone really impacts HTML5's viability as a web platform. Nobody is really targeting HTML5 games for the mobile devices, everybody that I've heard has tried has said that even simple stuff is too slow on them if your game requires a smooth framerate. So I suspect that the markets are completely separate.

Not saying anything about HTML5 (i.e. canvas), but we are getting smooth framerates with our JS+HTML engine. It's already doable, and the mobile browsers (same as the desktop browsers) are getting faster with every release.

Sorry about that! The amount of contact requests has been crazy - I'm working my way through the list as fast as I can...

Hi guys, and sorry for being so late to the party.

Allow me to answer your questions:

- The engine is highly modular, so you can create any kind of game you wish. This means for example that once WebGL starts getting wider browser support, Rocket Engine will support it.
- You can extend the bundled components and also create totally new ones with JavaScript.

So although you can get a lot done with the components that come with the engine - great for prototyping! - this is a professional platform suited for building anything from single player iPhone games to complex MMOs. Our goal is to make developing both easier than it is now. Smiley
