Well shit - a multiplayer roguelike set in a submarine? You've certainly got my attention! EDIT: Wait, there's not just one, but TWO submarine games in the works?!

Well hell, I've been doing write-ups on the front page as an on-again/off-again TIGSource editor for more that four years now, and I've never actually introduced myself here... I go by Alehkhs (pronounced as "Alex," lest you find it caught in your throat), and I likely spend far too much time playing old games and dreaming of future ones. Why do I enjoy (occasionally) writing for TIGSource? I think I'm just trying to bring light to projects that catch my interest, and hoping there's people out there who will find those games interesting as well. As far as more tangible contributions to the field... my drawing skills are abysmal, unless you're in dire need of a stick figure; my musical composition might be a tad better (relatively speaking), but it's been about a decade since I've done anything with that so who knows; as far as actually creating games, I enjoy planning out gameplay elements or conceptual world-building on paper, but I've never actually gotten around to programming anything - not being able to program throws a nice little roadblock in there. But never fear! I'm currently trying to learn a thing or two and maybe someday pump out a small game or two. I guess we'll see?

-New HUD, now with the character sheet button. I swapped the item and equip buttons, so it's easier to click on the item with a touchscreen device.
Is that confirmation of plans to bring it to Android/iOS?

I have to ask: are you using GameMonkey for this?
Saves me the conspicuous effort of asking everyone what they are using to make games in an effort to figure myself out...

Fantastic news! More questions, I suppose: - You said "no random values," does that mean the dungeon won't be randomized? Or are you talking about things like damage and healing amounts?
- If not random levels, what sort of re-playability might be offered and how long would a single game last?

I'm putting a lot of effort into getting the game finished in the next couple of months, it's been over a year in development. I cant wait ... and neither can my wife!
As the finish draws up, I've been waiting and hoping for a new trailer-ish video that might look pretty on the frontpage with a little write-up... I don't suppose you happen to have one in the works? EDIT: Hmm, for some reason I was thinking about the stress-test video, and had forgot about the "Early Game Footage" video . The footage one actually serves pretty well as a trailer, so unless you feel it's not up-to-date I can just use that!

Yup, I'll be watching this. Even if this were nothing more than Mount&Blade - In Spaaaaace!, and gameplay consisted of me repeatedly getting Redshirts horribly massacred valiantly leading my trusting troops to victory on away-missions, I would most likely happily play for hours on end. Keep up the good work!

Alehkhs, share some of your thoughts on writing in a MUD environment? Structuring individual stories? Dynamic storylines?
Yeah, by writing I mean everything from world-building to NPC conversations and, yes; I would love threading together dynamic, consequential storylines, although I think that community driven plots that have the potential to permanently alter affect the game-world need to be handled carefully. All very, very exciting to me, and one day I hope to have the opportunity.
