Haha. It's very much a concept game, and, erm, to be honest, the title screen isn't quite telling you everything about the controls.

Yay, I'm at Vienna Airport now, my plane will leave in about an hour, and then it shouldn't be too long (?) before I drop by! I'm excited. Is it as packed as it looks on the photos? (Actually, when do you guys start? My sense of time is skewed by getting up at 4 am.)

Still haven't quite decided whether to take a cab or not myself. Depending on how well I can carry my stuff I'll just use public transportation.
There seems to be a pretty nice express bus from Tegel Airport (Bus TXL) with lots of space for luggage which I'll be taking. For me (staying at St. Christopher's), Alexanderplatz seems to be the best stop to get off/on.

Thanks for the phone number, jstckr, it's much appreciated. I guess I need to use +49 177 instead when calling from a foreign phone company, which may be interesting for other people too. Thanks for the compassion too Alex; don't worry, it's all good. I'm perfectly fine By the way, do we need some physical representation of our jammeur ticket, or is it enough to have paid?

It turns out I can jam at most on Monday, but I'll still be in Berlin until Thursday noon. So I'd love to do some socializing with inclined TIGgers. I'm staying at the St. Christopher's, which I'm told isn't far from the Circus.

People: grave personal changes have occurred. I could only possibly jam with you on Monday the 3rd. If there are any last-minute takers who can play all weekend, I'd give away my ticket for free, else I'll attend for one day, but knowing myself I won't get much done in that time.
I will however still be in Berlin from Sunday night until Thursday noon, so I'd definitely love to meet all you lovely people, even if it's only for socializing. So I hope you can forgive me this lapse and still appreciate my presence.
UPDATE: Actually I'll be arriving Sunday noon, so I can do one and a half day of jamming. I feel better about that.

Some things have changed in my life, and I'll probably not be able to make this game. That is to say, if anyone wants to use the title and/or idea (which I sketch briefly below), be my guest.
The game was meant to poke fun at the idea that your work environment will be perfectly fine with you wasting countless hours playing shallow Flash games and watching stupid videos online as long as no boobies come into play, at which point the cry for the [NSFW] tag is heard.
Gameplay-wise, I wanted to simulate an office with the player character and his colleagues where the main interaction would be via the PC in his cubicle. If the player does well at some minigames in his browser (think a match 3, a minimalistic tower defense game, etc) and/or watches fun videos, his colleagues would gather around the screen and cheer him on, and reputation points would be earned. Should NSFW material pop up on the sceen, the opposite would happen. The player character's boss would also figure into this somehow.
So, yeah, the concept isn't especially great anyway, and as usual I couldn't come up with an interesting gameplay idea before implementing the whole thing. I guess it's not a big loss.

Quake 3/Live will forever be beyond me. After multiple attempts over the past 5 or so years, I cannot strafe/circle jump for the life of me.
There are very nice training courses for rocket and strafe jumping in QL (in the Training Center). That said, I don't think you have to know about these to enjoy the game, I just now learned about strafe jumping for the first time...

This looks very very interesting, and I'd like to give it a try, but the text on the main menu(?) and the pre-game screen is so small/dark as to be practically illegible.
I managed to click through to the first game scene but got stuck pretty quickly, and anyway it's probably pointless to play an "inner experimental visual novel" without being able to read the introduction.
Small nitpick: the audible pause when the rain sound loops is quite jarring.

Ah yes! I tried to try this a few months back, but my Windows 2000 disagreed. Today I found a hack to make it run on Win2k, and it really is all kinds of fun. Good old-fashioned unadulterated deathmatching, hmmmm. Started out getting my ass handed to me all the time of course, but I've played a while now and noticed some improvement already (5th place in one of those crazy FFAs, not too bad).

So, I dunno if I should start a thread for a project that may never see completion. It would be quite embarrassing. That happens a lot in these compos, don't worry too much about it. There's generally no finger-pointing and ridiculing. This theme fits me, even though I'm still a wannabe indie game designer, I also do erotic art. Well then, you should have a field day!
